Funny how his abusive mother wouldn't take the money from the insurance company due to religious beliefs, but had no problem abusing him and letting her boyfriend abuse him. This is one reason why some men have issues with women. 🤬

My parents are Jehovah's Witnesses, and I was raised in the religion. I have never heard of them not accepting settlement proceeds from an accident/case. I am so glad he was able to rise and thrive despite his unfortunate/abusive childhood. His talents, resilience, and kind heart are the main reasons why I respect and admire him. Continue to Rest in Peace DMX, aka Earl Simmons 🙏🏼🤗🕯🕊🥰

Like Aaliyah‘a death , X’s death was a hard one. His talent and presence was unmatched. And it wasn’t until after his death did I have a better understanding of him. He was trying to turn his life around, make amends, and get back to what he loved doing before his demise. Through it all his faith never wavered. And even though he led a reckless life, people still respected him because he was genuine. You could see the love from the out pouring of support and admiration after his death. His send off was beautiful. Befitting of an icon. Now he’s finally able to rest🕊️

Yet another story of what happens when adults do not give children a stable foundation: EVERYTHING else will crumble. That poor baby’s father abandoned him to chase a pipe dream and his mother abused then abandoned him too. Of course turmoil would spread later in life. My heart breaks for that child, for if his parents did better by him his life and many that he touched would look much differently.

I always laugh when people say there needs to be more diversity, because back then everybody was different but we still all rocked with each other. It was natural and unforced how it is now. DMX with HOV, Marilyn Manson and Limp Bizkit, Gwen Stefani with Bounty Killer, way too many others to name. Look at how that crowd felt with X on stage. Those actually were the good old days.
