Justin never claimed he's a professional trumpet player. Sure. He says he CAN play the trumpet but he didn't say he's good at it. Besides, it's not his thing. Come on, he's a singer. And I don't think you guys should judge him just because he can't play the trumpet well. Seriously, a lot of people don't know how to completely play a trumpet but that's not enough reason to hate them. -_-

He claims to play the trumpet. Making a sound on an instrument is not the same as playing it; if it were, then I could claim to play every brass instrument.

he only said he knows alittle bit of trumpet. but what he can't do with trumpet he makes up for with piano,guitar and drums and singing and dancing. so its all good:)

I think the reason he's having a hard time is the horn he's playing is a C trumpet. It's a whole step higher in pitch than he's used to. Trumpet players rarely start using C trumpets until their college years. It's obvious he's used to B-flat trumpet and the horn there is not his. It takes a while to get accustomed to C trumpet, even for a seasoned trumpet player. Just saying, coming from a trumpet player. ;-)

As a trumpet player, anyone who picks up the instrument for the first time can get those notes out with a basic knowledge of music (he's playing in the medium register too, so it's incredibly easy)

And also, I don't see how people are calling him a DISGRACE, if you're new to playing trumpet then you're new? I mean, it's not like he ever claimed to be a professional. You guys are just setting high standards because he's a celebrity. Just trying to be fair.

@hadou31shakkahou my sister plays the trumpet its hard because you have to get the right amount of air through to hit a note. There are several different notes you can hit on each valve, so its not easy. But I know what u mean. He doesn't exactly have a talent for it !

I know a few 10 year olds who can actually play through a song with correct articulations without slurring all the notes together, and they're in their school's beginning band too. In this video, Justin isn't doing that. Whether or not he actually CAN play trumpet, IDK. In this video, it doesn't show it all too well.
