i love this song. not that there aren’t hooks for days in this song, but it’s a slow build to the majesty that begins at 7:26. They do this in several songs, like Vicarious. But it is most pronounced in Rosetta Stoned. A slow walk up the mountain. and all of a sudden there is this beautiful section that is too amazing to be described. 30 seconds or so. then a walk back down the mountain. many bands take that beautiful moment and double the length and repeat it several times in the song. Tool does it once and makes you earn it. that’s a great technique for making you listen to albums again and again.

The guitar kicks in: This...This sounds EPIC!!! . I have no idea who these old guys are...why is everyone making jokes about the lead singer. Song ends: mesmerized, mind blown. Picks up phone to call his grandpa. "I will never make fun of your old people music again. Please teach me your ways."
