I actually can't say i agree with Herm on his thoughts on Penix. You really dont have to move the pocket much at all for Penix. He isn't really wasn't known to be much of a runner in college. He is much more of a pocket QB with a big arm that can run if need be.

@Falconsriseup
@Falconsriseup 28 күн бұрын
@@losinfinite I know he is a dual threat QB but as you said because of his injuries he changed his play style up. He is much more of a pocket passer now that can also do dual threat things when needed or called. That doesn't mean you have to move the pocket for him. He is very capable of staying in the pocket and dissecting people with his arm. All im saying is you don't have to move the pocket with him like Herm said you would. Thats not his game anymore like a Daniels. But it's there when you need it which is great to have.

For those complaining about the Fields commentary, you don’t don’t understand what they are looking for in preseason. It’s not just about completions, they are looking for timing, reads and progressions. He is going into his 4th year. Certain mistakes shouldn’t be happening and he should be seeing the field faster
@rdramos13
@rdramos13 28 күн бұрын
Also remember, Houston played in the Hall of Fame game last week. So they experienced one game with real hitting and real speed already. That also made Pittsburgh look slower compared to Houston. You could also see that in Chicago and Buffalo game too. The Bills looked slow and sluggish.

Everyone is trippin’ on the Steelers. For goodness sake, the Texans are a top-tier team, that already had a tune up game to polish up their miscues before this first game for the Steelers. Last week, the Texans looked like hot garbage in their first game against the Bears…and Houston haven’t gotten nowhere near the negative press publicity than the Steelers are getting now. For some reason the NFL seems to have an agenda against the Steelers…and it’s been painfully obvious all offseason. Starting with the schedule. On top of all that, ever since the word got out about Aiyuk’s desire to only play for the Steelers, the national media has been throwing major abnormal negative shade on them. It’s almost like the media wants to play a part in discouraging Aiyuk not to have any interest in Pittsburgh. This was the Steelers first PRESEASON game. Justin Fields really didn’t look that bad. The Texans played ALL of their starters in the first quarter of this second game of the year for them. The Steelers rested their defensive starters. Lighten up everyone.

It was pretty much exactly how it went with the Bears for 3 years. A few really nice throws/runs (which give you hope that one day it’ll be good) mixed in with a whole lot of not so good. He has no pocket presence at all so he takes a lot of sacks, struggles to hit receivers that are not clearly open, struggles with fumbles (although it’s up for debate whether he mishandled it or the center did), and has a very slow release.
