Moodies were my life changing GO TO in 1972-3.... a romance with Justin in the midst of that Love Affair as a 21 year old.......He sang us thru many a nite lying on the beach with back then a car casette playing this tune over and over......miss those days of my youth. You know, for a lot of bands and performers who became quite famous back in the day, the small percentage of them that are still performing, often perform rather dull and uninspired shows in which the magic of their originals is missing, as if they are bored to tears with or are simply sick of their old songs. And so while other such bands appear to be dinosaurs who are merely "phoning it in," Justin's Moody songs are just perfectly rendered, passionate, and in as great a voice and execution as ever! His music is being played as powerful and fresh as if it had just been written. The Moodies - as is Justin - were perfectionists, and it showed. And they had the best sound engineers of their time! And his voice is still incredible! The fellow just has such grace, style and humbleness about him - almost as if he's as amazed as everyone else that he's been so blessed to have been a key part of an amazing musical legacy - that CONTINUES in excellence.

This is the song the band thought was the next best thing to Nights and they expected it would be a huge single, except that it didn’t even touch the charts. Not because it wasn’t a great tune but by 1969 when this came out most Moodies fans were just buying the albums so singles weren’t really important to them anymore. Definitely one of my particular favourites, really stirs the emotions. Saw Justin a few years back on a solo tour.and my daughter.and myself enjoyed it more than a Moodies gig. The songs he performs solo are so suited to this more acoustic environment.

I'm with you all about this song, Justin and the Moodies in general. Heck, I've been blessed to see and hear the band about 30 times since their sell-outs at MSG in the early '70s right through their DOFP 50th concert tour, during which I saw them at the SPAC in Saratoga. They never disappointed. And seeing Justin numerous times in his concerts in recent years has always been a special experience. We all know they've been underrated and even overlooked so often over the decades. Still, how great it's been that we have enjoyed and cherished their music. I'll add, while I love, Justin, John and Graeme, I'd like to toast the incredible song-writing, singing and creative talents of both Ray Thomas (including this song) and Mike Pinder. Cheers to them all, and thank you so much for enhancing my life.

I grew up listening to The Moody blues. for the first ten years of my life that's what we listened to; blasting it out, driving around in our Volkswagen bus with a smokestack on the top of it. Then, The Moody Blues broke up, and I was so sad. I was 15 years old, and I loved them so much I've always loved them, they've been my favorite band of all time, and miraculously they got back together and they came to Denver on my 16th birthday!!! and somebody bought me two tickets and that was the best birthday present I ever got!

The recognition due your talents has been too long absent amongst the rock music press. If I may offer one particular example of your melodic, understated guitar performances, it is your exquisite mood enhancing playing on When you are a free man, from Seventh Sojourn - if I may flatter you it sits comfortably alongside Jimmy Page's expressive playing on Tea for One, from the Presence album.

I've watched Moody blues for the last 50 years maybe 52 years, I've been an amphitheaters outdoors with thunderstorms and lightning and they always pulled it off the world's best rock band thank you Justin and Jeremy and Mike and everybody else for making them world's most beautiful music that makes you think about everything when you're down you'll pick you up and still make you think.

So great to hear this song done at all and done so well. To Our Children's Children's Children is an iconic emblematic album of thematic import wonderfully performed. It remains musically, philosophically, astrophysically, scientifically, psychologically, socially, & spiritually unblemished. Thank You for the inspiration thru generations.

I play as many of his songs as I can make sound decent as a solo acoustic player. He is truly marvelous as were all "The Moodys". Got to play with Denny Laine at Fur Peace Ranch a few years ago may he rest in peace.
