Such a reason for it's loss does not look commensurate from coach of a team like Australia who is a cofounder of international test cricket, who is one of the only two nations to play it for last big 144 years period from 1877 & who is 2nd most experienced nation in playing that fornat. Justin Langer should take up the job of census duty or population counting instead of working as coach of cricket team. Each nation can field only 1 cricket team and a cricket team can have only 11 members not 1.4 billion yet credit to Indian selectors who have no choice but to do the cruel job of selecting 11 out of 1.4 billion. Population of West Indies was not 1.4billion when Australia failed to defend 417 at 2003 Antigua test. Nor was population of SA or England 1.4billion when Australia failed to defend 414 at 2008 Perth test vs SA and also failed to defend 359 at 2019 Headingley test of Ashes, and when a team can fail to defend giant targets like 359, 414 & 417 in 4th innings, that team can surely fail to defend 328 at Jan 2021 Gabba test vs Indie population of winner nation is not responsible for that loss of Australia.

Justin Langer deserves to do population counting or census job instead of doing cricket team coaching job. Population of each of West Indies, SA & England was much less than 1.5billion when Australia lost 2003 Antigua test by failing to defend 417 , lost 2008 Perth test vs SA by failing to defend 414 & lost 2019 Headingley test by failing to defend 359. The typical Australian in Langer unsuccessfully tried to downplay or belittle the Indian achievement of winning Gabba test and 2nd back to back test series in Australia by blaming Indian population. He forgot that each nation can field only one team and one team can have only 11 members yet Indian team selectors have to do the cruel and toughest job of selecting 11 from 1.5billion. He conveniently forgot that Australia is a cofounder of international test cricket, playing it for last big 144 years from 1877 (1 of only 2 nations to play for last big 144 years) and is 2nd most experienced in playing test cricket-it does not look commensurate to find that coach of such an Australian team is blaming population of winner team for the loss of Australia. But you know what player Langer was, he would not walk off inspite of his catch cleanly caught by the fielder and had notoriously dislodged the bail while fielding in SL.

What many would fail to realise is india's injury actually helped india win and made it tougher for australia to win By the end of the 1st test, if I am not mistaken, only umesh yadav and mohammad shami were injured The fact of kohli going home also played its part. Here is the marquee force, as a batsman and beyond, going home and we have the rest of bullies, being shot out for 36 The anger of the australian nation for the series loss in 18 also played its part, happening for the very first time in 71 years The aussie openers were also an inspiration, not making indians wait and getting out without testing them in any regard Though smith and his brother got runs, they were far away from what they usually are, specially at home The highly unnoticed part is india made lyon far less effective than what he usually is, stopping him from even reaching to 400 And man, india's batting. Starting from that mr under achiever's classical century at the mcg to getting gill and pant, they changed dramatically The fact is the pink ball is essentially still a stranger to indians, where as the red ball is far from it Australia made 9 for 36 happen by swinging balls and encouraging batsman for the drive, which later strangely went missing, barring pat and josh Starc looks a big concern to me

They've now lost 16-17,18-19, 20-21series so they would definitely looking for a comeback this time nd they've got some amazing players like Labuschagne, Steve Smith, Warner, posci and most important Tim paine would be retired. A team without Tim paine will be really tough and dangerous bcz there will be no one to encourage team India who could say can't wait to see you at Gabba mate!!!

The majority of people were never in the running to considered, the network of sports academies and paths to professional sport are tiny compared to the population, only recently have they started to spread (remember the big deal about Dhoni being from a region outside of the few which used to supply most players). Most people just had no idea of how to get into organized sports and almost no one even tried or considered it a possible career until recently. Same with olympics, 99% of people don't even know 99% of the sports/events. The pool from which sports people are selected in India is absolutely tiny, far smaller than many smaller countries and the 1.8 billion has little consideration into it.
@Sinha777773 жыл бұрын

@chandrakiran46173 жыл бұрын
@@weaponsenthusiast480 What absolutely tiny you say.? Wow who are these players who wanted to get auctioned in IPL I think the number is around 800 players. So you mean these are players of gully cricket. Get your fact right first. I agree with what you said, but it was way long ago. Now the situation entirely different from 6 -7 years. People from b town players are more in international stages than big cities players. Ex: Saurashtra produced at least 5 players who represented India in the last 5 years, Baroda - At least 3, Bihar Jharkhand there are 3 players in IPL shining and are knocking doors. These are just a few numbers. The sports have ranges and training has been increased in last 5 years. Development of ISL, Badminton leagues, Kabbadi, Tennis will show the results in the coming 10 years. I guarantee it. The current system is following most of the western patterns of scouting the players as they do in Laliga, NBA etc. for cricket, football, and many sports. The JSW sports division itself involved in at least 7 different sports. So in the coming years, India is definitely going to shine in many sports we play.

That Humiliation was the Biggest Driving Force behind India's comeback Victory Indians were Badly humiliated by Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Sri Lankans, South Africans & many other nation Cricketing fans as well on Twitter I clearly remember. Not having the Main Captain & then with almost 10-12 1st choice players missing & Beating Australia in Australia is a Massive Achievement in itself. 1.5 Billion ppl have got nothing to do with Cricket. If it was comparison of people and sports, India would have dominated the Olympics and other sports. Till date the cricketers come from very few cities where the focus is high on sport and administration and facilities are organized.. i.e. Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Vadodara. Very few cricketers make it from the off centers and need to have real talent to do so e.g. Dhoni. If you analyze the Indian team for the last 50 years, you will find that most of them come from these cities or small towns adjoining these cities...

You're right, India's population being 50 times bigger than that of Australia's is no advantage at all. 😎 Having said that, when I visited India (TN) in 2015, I was surprised at how few cricket grounds there were, even in larger cities like Trichy and Madurai. There didn't seem to be much local (organised) cricket, whereas most towns and suburbs in Australia have a cricket club. So, I agree with you in part.

population of cricket team on the field can be max of only 11 and each nation can field only one cricket team. 1.5billion population remark by the notorious Langer was to downplay or belittle the 2021 gabba test win by Indian team like a typical australian. Langer forgot population of west indies was much less than 1.5 billion when Australia failed to defend record 417 runs target at 2003 antigua test vs west Indies, population of south africa was less than 1.5 billino when australia failed to defend record 414 runs target at 2008 perth test vs tourists south africa and populatin of england was also less than 1.5 billion when australia failed to defend 359 runs target in 2019 headingley test vs england. But a team like australia that has failed to defend targets as huge as 417 runs, 414 runs and 359 runs in fourth innings of tests can also fail to defend 328 runs target at 2021 gabba test vs tourist India, nothing to do with national population of India. It is batmen like Ramnaresh Sarwan, Shiv Chanderpual, Brian Lara, Graeme Smith, AB D Villiars, Ben Stokes who inspired Pujara, Gill, Sundar, pant and Thakur to bat hard in 2021 gabba test and successfully chase 328 runs target.

The series was a remainder of the decline of the Aussie test team... The team depends on Smith, Warner and thier bowlers. Except the first test, most of their bowlers were off colors in the remainder of the series struggling to stop the India's tail order... Thier players to capitalise on their wickets and India's young buds and reserve players dominated on those wickets... It shoes the class of India's nxt generation
