For those who don't know: Pujara made 106 from 319 balls in this match, enough to wear out the whole Australian side in that intense heat......Apart from this he also scored a century in first match where India was in trouble with 41/4 and won the match for the country. He also scored 193 in 4th test and if it was not rain India may have won by 3-1 instead of 2-1. This was the 2018-19 series. He gave the same performance in 2020-21 series in Aus. Drew the third match by wearing down bowlers on the last day and made the ground for India to win the 4th test and hence series.

I was at this game at the G and there were 12/13 Aussie white blokes who came to see the game.. It was well after lunch on Day 1 when they saw Pujara worn out the bowlers , which we could feel in the stands.. the comment they made was Pujara is Dravids grandpa. He can maul you down all day and not even have a smile or grin on face… the hundred took some 350+ balls from Pujara..The blokes left for the pub just before tea.. and couldn’t take pujaras batting grind… I imagine the bowlers wanted to do the same leave for the pub.
