What size tires were the drag radials? Reason I need to know is I also have a 19' 10R80 GT with the 3.55's. Its a non PP car like yours. I was going to run it stock with some 305/45R17 drag radials to get a baseline but if it's going to act like yours it wouldn't be a true baseline. Thanks for the input. Keep it coming.

To put things in perspective, I grew up in the 90s going to the drag strips with my uncle. He had a 70 mustang stripped down drag car ( not street legal ) but was in the streets made a lot of kick ass stories . That car ran 11.70 @ 117 mph ! So when I see that 11.90 right out the gate DAMN that’s very impressive. It really is faster than you think

@@331Grabber I was ordering a 19 manual all the way, until I read the longer ratios as well. That in combination with the shift fork issue killed it 4 me. Went with a 10r80 instead, hopefully Ford fixed the typewriter tick for 19 as well.

Ford just said they will buy my car back after 1 new short block.rebuilt 10r80 all stock never tuned an under 5k miles.my tick went to knock an trans clutches burned up 2 gear an 4th ford said they are well aware of the issues. So before you guys tune if you have the tick better take it to dealer. They are aware there is a problem an they never sent that fake bulletin out. Don’t be a fool. The gen 3 coyote has major issues. Also after 500 miles on new short block the tick came back wasn’t as bad as it was before at 2800 miles but it’s ticking again.

If the runs shown on the video are actually the runs made to get those times, it looked like it spun a little more in the 1-2 and 2-3 shift than it did with the stock. Seems to be making a hair more power, but he's losing it in traction.

Hey Otto- I'll be the first to admit I don't drive that car often so all together I probably have about 5k miles on the setup. But its never missed a beat and wouldn't hesitate to drive that car cross country with all the mods. You shouldn't be nervous at all- with a quality tune, conservative boost level and a proper install that car will last you a VERY long time. -Justin

LOL, I had a 1999 Miata that ran 12's at 117 MPH on street tires... It would be funny to see a 5.0 Mustang get clipped at the end of the 1/4 mile by a Miata, but I would have needed a lot more tire. No, it wasn't stock, it was making 325 at the rear wheels with a turbo (it was a daily driver). Agree with many others, that a stock car running bottom 12's on street tires is impressive.

My 2021 Mustang GT premium was a big lemon...so yellow is the perfect color for that POS. I could live with the cheap plastic interior and glitchy electronics but the 6 speed manual transmission was just garbage! I'm not the only one who thinks so, look at the class action that has been launched against Ford. Fortunately I was able to sell it and buy a real car from another manufacturer. It's no wonder Ford stopped building cars...I'll never buy another Ford...EVER!

Shits unfair i have a 4th gen f body and heads cam gears and c5 tires making around 400 whp and still not breaking into the 11's sure im fully loaded and could use a better clutch and launch but jesus christ basically stock mustang and running into the 11's I would be better off getting a newer mustang or camaro with a small tune and tires package and running better times than anything i can lay down also this is a few years old they aree only getting better 90's- 2010 was fair competition now we are breaking into a world of they do everything from handling to lanuching to performing 100% better

e85's cooling properties and higher inferred octane rating makes it less prone to knock or detonation which allows tuners to run more ignition timing. So to answer your question, 93 is not better in this example. -Justin

11.66 whew. I can't seem to get into the 11s on Michelin Super Sports with my 16, full bolt-ons, e85. I just blow the tires off hitting second, but the shift pressure is pretty hard in my tune. I'll try adjusting.

Try dropping the tire pressure down a bit. These Goodyears seemed to like around 25/26lbs, but even still the 1-2 shift saw some good spin on my end. Good luck Mario! -Justin

I think it made the car bog with the radials cause they were too tall for the stock gear I had the same problem with my auto but then I put a shorter gear then 2 inch smaller radials and shaved off over half a second

Gustavo, air intakes wont add more thsn a few hp and drop it ftom 11.90 to 11.86.

4 tenths in the 11 second zone is going to need more than a intake.

@@stevenp3176Exactly. Bigger TB, headers and full exhaust will drop it 3 tenths to posdibly 4. Steeda has the supposedly has title of themost power from any CAI upgrade and yet they only dropped from 12.26 to 12.18.... CAI's are overrated and don't really make any power, maybe 2-3 hp. But it takes about 11-13 hp to drop a tenth.

But the last time he ran was 11.66 with the E85 tune. And all I’m saying maybe with the JLT Intake he would of hit 11.5

But the issue with your E85 tune is you definitely had more power. You should have put the drag radials back on and raised your RPM on take off. You can raise that mustang to 2400-2700rpm with the right tire and with the better weather I bet you could have caught some 11.3's to 114's easy! Either way, that's a sweat ride! Awesome times from a 302!! Think about that same motor with a E85 tune full exhaust in a 93 Cobra or 93 Gt or better yet a light ass 93LX!!! Easy mid 10's on motor with that trans and motor in a Fox body!!
