@@forgot2wipe Cold air intake manufacturers typically dyno test their products with the hood open, thus sucking in cold air from outside the engine bay rather than warm air from inside the engine bay. This is not an issue if you are on the highway, but for a lot of guys sitting in traffic, running light to light, or sitting in the staging lanes at the track, their IAT’s go through the roof, and your cold air intake quickly turns into a hot air intake. The ECU sees 140° intake temps, pulls timing, and you lose power. That’s what he is referring to.

Randy Pech 9’s? NA ? Yeah because that CJ manifold was what got them to 9’s... If you think spending over twice as much for that manifold then good for you most people rather save that extra money and put it towards something else unless you’re desperate for every little bit of horse power then go for it but the 18 Ported isn’t that far behind a CJ and please pintpoint me a video of someone else who decides to dyno all the manifolds.

@@moisescristobal9740 I never said 18 mani wasn't a good value because it is. However, in an N/A build, you need every bit you can get. You said it made more power and I was refuting that. It does make more torque though. Tell me how many gen 1 or gen 2 coyotes with an 18 manifold is in the 10s and compare that to CJs in the 10s. I'll wait...

Looking into getting into a Lund flex tune. Is a intake worth it being that I’ve heard the factory 18 intake is already really good? Don’t plan on doing much more mods than the tune.

The factory intake is VERY good on these cars. I would start with the flex tune for now as that will be far more noticeable at the end of the day. -Justin

bigger throttle body and voodoo intake manifold would make this build great

I am near maple grove and am currently buying a 19 gt would like to buy performance parts from you guys but would like to know if you can recommend any local shops for installs due to me not being comfortable doing it myself

The automatic seems definitely fast on the shifts but wow it eats up a bit of power compared to the manual, I'm sure if it wouldve had as much power as a manual and a converter that's a 10 for sure.!!!

You guys should try one going all out N/A with intake manifold, cams, pulleys and custom tune see how far full bolt ons and cams can really go.

Pull out a few interior pieces like the backseats and this could probably be in the 10s

I thought the stock GT had 460hp ? Did I miss something. Love the build, as I’m switching from mopar. Really loving the coyote motor and it’s potential.
@TheCorbin3152 жыл бұрын
It's rated 460 at the crank. You lose about 15-20% through the transmission which gives you the 389 at the wheels in stock form. And each dyno reads slightly high/low depending on calibration/manufacturer.

Great runs Jason, with those mods it looks like its right where it supposed to be. Have you thought about a CobraJet intake manifold?
@americanmuscle4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Sergey- we have kicked the idea around but at this point were debating on give the N/A attempt another go or just diving into forced induction. -Justin

I've pretty much done all I want to with that car, drag racing wise. I'm kind of over that and am trying to make it more of a corner carver at the moment. Thanks for watching Cali! -Justin
