Not being a d--k but how is it better than just putting mesh heads on a real kit ? < - - - Coming from a TAMA fanboy.

I think mesh heads are still louder than the true touch and when you want to play normal drums AND silent drums but only have one set you had to change the heads each time you want to switch

Mesh heads feel completely different. If you're looking to mimic acoustic drums/heads, the Tama True Touch is the way to go.
