Holy s**t!!! That middle section with the double snare groove had a total Russian Circles vibe to it. Never heard of this guy before but this is exactly why I love these Meinl promos. Turnin me on to some slayers & this dude is definitely one of the baddest I’ve seen. Thanks Meinl!! & Thanks Justin. You’re a f**’n beast!!

I feel like MEINL has really mastered the "dry" more quick, percussive, decaying cymbal sound while also having a briilliance when needed.

Excellent playing... The kit sounds nice - but the overtone of the snare is not my favorite sound...I'm used to hearing that overtone on Bruford's kit (e.g., "Fragile" album)... As for the snare sound, the extra deep snare shell may be a contributor... I used to have a 6" chrome snare - which in retrospect was a mistake (I ended up muffling the metallic overtone by lining the shell with carpet foam)... Also - and perhaps the shell depth is again a contributor - the snare is somewhat too prominent in the mix for me... But, again, excellent playing...
