No I think that it may appear like he was walking on egg shells but if you know the way Chris his mind works when he’s not being funny version of Chris is that he literally did it feel like the interview was taken out of context. JC has always been asked some very similar questions and answer them very similarly and the truth is they’re not going to slam each other because they love each other. Musically they were going in different directions stylistically and Chris was always involved with that clothing line and Joey is more of like an actual I am or a stage performer and I don’t think JC likes to act or be humorous nowhere near the way Justin does on Saturday night live, so it’s not like it’s a bad answer, you know?
@Annamarie40985

As talented individually as each of these men are, it’s awesome to see how they handle each other in interviews when they are asked these kind of questions. Stylistically they are all so incredibly different that it is unreal and I like that about them. Justin was obviously more into R&B and even hip-hop and Jacey was into like a some synthpop back then and all kinds of different things, hence the title of his record being “Schizophrenic.” I know I remember this article being written and I remember immediately thinking that everything was taken completely out of context. No matter what those boys are brothers for life and it still shows today and nobody is angry at Justin‘s success despite where the others have succeeded and trust me, after everything they’ve been through with their manager and everything they are thankful for their lives that they have been able to have and no matter what they can live off of the “fruits of their labor“ successfully for years to come.

@Annamarie40985 5 жыл бұрын
I know, right? I think they thought that maybe if they had Chris on there and watched her up problems and I knew immediately that no matter who they have on there that wasn’t gonna happen. They have always said how they are like five brothers despite being completely different people stylistically and musically and in terms of their personalities. Personally I always thought JC Chasez had the best vocals, But goodness gracious if you hear them sing a cappella and really get a chance to hear each of the guys, they are all incredible! It’s crazy how even today the media tries to put them against one another and they keep failing at it LOL. None of these boys from *NSYNC are dumb enough to answer a question like that and say something mean about the other guys and everyone is happy for Justin and if you want proof just watch the interview that Jacey had to give it to CNN headline news I think it was when he was kicked off the Rose Bowl thing because of the Janet Jackson Super Bowl controversy. He handled that like a pro while at the same time expressing his feelings as an artist at the time. That’s my boys and I’m nutshell and they are each like that toward one another.

As a musician myself I have to say that his statement is far from outrageous. If you’re in a group it’s not weird that some people have higher ambition than others.
@musiclover_kb4913
@musiclover_kb4913 6 жыл бұрын
SaftOchBulle I get that and yes that is bound to happen within a group, but at the same time it's hard to defend and sympathize with JT, knowing that so many other groups have reunited and/or continue to perform together. You're probably gonna make the argument that those people's solo careers weren't JT-level successful, but what's JT'S excuse? He has a massive ego ,he literally acts ashamed of his boy band roots and more often than not pretends that NSYNC never happened. Now you're probably gonna say that he was being realistic unlike the Backstreet Boys, who "don't know when to quit" but they do it because it's what they love to do. There's a difference between being realistic and moving on with your life and simply refusing to revisit something that was genuinely great just because you think it's beneath you
@saftobulle
@saftobulle 6 жыл бұрын
Actually I think you missunderstand. I don't really care about how successful solo carreers the other members have had or that BSB are still together, even though they're not really "relevant" in terms of the mainstream scene (actually I think that's great). I just meant that when I hear the statement "I felt like I cared more about the music than some of the other people in the group" it sounds to me like he felt like he put down a lot of effort and maybe felt like expanding on what they was doing, while some other members where more complacent or though they wanted to do other stuff and that this boyband thing was taking a lot of time and therefore didn't put in as much effort in it. Which is a very common phenomenom when you're in a group especially when it's a constructed one. So that's what I meant with higher ambitions. I have little knowledge of Justin Timberlake and the mainstream pop scene in general, but I do have experience with group dynamics.

In my opinion, there were forces at work telling JT that he could potentially make much more money doing a solo career so as an excuse JT said that other group members weren't as committed. I don't believe this is the case. I think Chris knows very well what happened and he isn't going to bash JT. If you read between the lines, Chris is basically saying you know I don't dislike JT, its just that he did what he felt was best for himself
@taylorgobble3116
@taylorgobble3116 6 жыл бұрын
I agree. He did what he thought was best for himself. And you have to look at the whole picture when it comes to this. (I was younger at the time, so I don't remember all details.) I don't think NSYNC was doing as well at that time as they had been doing in their early years. Personal opinion, and the opinions of my friends at the time, we all hated their Celebrity album. So perhaps in JT's mind, it was either take a shot at a solo career, or go down with a sinking ship. Also, I just watched their Popodyssey tour on youtube the other day. You can tell they weren't completely in it or dedicated as they were in their No Strings Attached tour, and that some of the gimmicks were just too childish for grown men. I think that was a reason as well.

They were very big back in the late 90s early 2000, I use to listen to them and I still do as of today. But just because Justin wants to make his solo career doesn't mean he has to pull away from performing from NSYNC. They were really strong for a long time and a lot of people miss them. , I've always really liked Chris. He handled this interview really well. I'm so glad that there was no trash talk and that everything was just cool! My favorite, course, was JC,. Justin was a bit Young but he was this kid who had so much talent that I really thought was going to go someplace with a solo career and dreaded when it would happen because that meant there be no NSYNC anymore. I say kid cuz I was like in my thirties then. But all of my teenage kids were fans and they were very much involved in the dance industry. I was actually the one that saw sync on TV and told my kids they had to watch these guys dance. Then that led to taking that to the dance Studio. Even on the 1st American official video they released, tearin up my heart, they were doing some really fresh things at the time and it stood out from all of the other boy bands everywhere. They were special. And as a group they're dancing it was also in sync which is important if you're in a group number . It was a double treat ! Dance moves that were a pleasure to watch , and good music from guys that can actually sing ! We were definitely fans from the beginning and still are . I know when my daughter became a dance instructor the first song she choreographed a Dance to was "Dirty Pop" . I didn't even know they gotten a star on the Walk of Fame and was just recently thinking that they needed something to recognize how important that group was to what was going on in the music industry at the time. Those five guys together were like magic!

The other guys kept getting told there needed to be more time for Justin solo career and got put on Hiatus for well almost two years before Justin finally came and set them all down and started pointing fingers about how no one else cared about the music. He particularly singled out Joey and Lance for doing the movie yet Justin had done a movie not just a year before. As far as what's currently on this video, I think TMZ is just stirring the pot and Chris is just being PC to answer their questions

Lance has been talking shit and over stepping bounds (even about personal/private things) since the group went on hiatus (no one else in the group ever has but him)...especially with his book. He's obviously bitter, which is funny because he's the only one in the group who most likely couldn't pull off a solo career as he has such a bass voice that would be hard to make work for radio. He NEEDS the group...and hes the only one out of all of them I've ever heard complain so much. When the group went on hiatus he himself was doing movies, started a movie production company, a music label for country artists and already had several artists on the roster that were recording and touring (Meredith was one) and was even preparing to go into space...he obviously was spreading himself thin and was probably one of the reasons the group went on hiatus which is when Justin decided to continue in music and tried a solo career (which he excelled in). Justin, Chris, and Joey are all still very close. JCs kept to himself...which is who's he's always been. In fact, if you listen to interviews, there's been major hints from all of them that it's JC who doesn't want to do a reunion tour.

So basically JT is being a male diva. Now I like JT's music, and I love NSYNC, but you can tell that JT is more about the fame and all that than the others, and would step on anyone to get ahead. Just look at the Janet Jackson superbowl incident. He got a pass, and she got shamed and he couldn't even back her up or nothing. Chris seemed very humble in his interview. JC is also a humble, more better person overall! Going from being homeless in D.C. with a young mom who gave him up at seven, to being discovered (even though he was there only to support a friend) by MMC, to being convinced to join Nsync by Justin (after turning him down 4 times cause JC wanted to go to college)....yeah, all those life experiences definitely played a part on how JC learned to appreciate things... meanwhile Justin was "groomed" for stardom by his mother (like competing in child beauty pageants), etc... Why are Justin fans so one dimensional and completely overlook all the times he shat on others? Janet, Britney, spitting on fans in his younger years, mocking the homeless on Skid Row with a feature video of their pain on his wedding day, not inviting Nsync (though he did invite JC, he just chose to go to his brother's wedding instead), etc... there's more I'm probably not thinking of too.. JC is not only blessed with a 4 octave range (no amount of money in the world can buy Justin that kind of gift), good looks (both him and Lance have aged the best, yet JC was the second oldest in the group right after Chris), he is also a beautiful soul on the inside.

Nana Anokye he did not. Lance was too nice upon being asked about that by reporters? Member in the group that made you who you are today, did not invite you to his wedding, did not want you to be part of his special day? JT made it look like he wanted the wedding to be all about Jessica but he really just didn’t want anything to do with his NSync past. Boy your friends wanted their wedding to be about their spouses as well, yet they still invited you.

Justin has said in many other interviews that he wanted to do a different type of music. At that point, he was writing and had written several songs that weren't their teen poppy music. Timberland and the Neptunes understood what "sound" he wanted. Low and behold, we continue to see new innovative things from Justin today. I saw him going solo when I became a fan of the group, although he was the youngest.

And yet 20 almost 20 years later beiber had more #1 hits in a year than Timberlake has had in his entire career and it took Timberlake talking about his sex life with brittney on the radio over and over and over again to make his first album do anything and then he had too strip janet in the middle of the superbowl and get her blacklisted and ruin her career in order for his second album too do shit... he hasnt had a succesful solo career AT ALL
@raym.778
@raym.778 5 жыл бұрын
@@richardgrace4500 Justin Bieber's successes in his career have nothing to do with Justin Timberlake's successes. That's an asinine comparison. Do you have a job? Do you make the most money at it? Are you the most productive, the most efficient, the greatest there ever was to do it? Oh, and not just in your company but of all the people that perform your job. Probably not. Would that make you unsuccessful at your job? No. At the end of the day the guy can make a living for himself, and the people that work with and for him, by selling his music and touring. Therefore, he's pretty successful regardless of whether you like him or not. Plenty of small, independent, artists are successful at their jobs and their audience is a fraction of his. Any musician would kill to be where he is. Even his flop album, while not living up to his previous standards, still sold fairly well. And regardless of how well it did, the real money is in touring. That he was able to use it to launch an almost year-long tour (that just concluded apparently) that grossed millions of dollars seems to indicate success to me. So your idea of what success is, is delusional. Because if you're comparing him to someone else and saying he's a failure because he didn't sell more, or win as many accolades, or whatever... then by that logic you and a lot of people are all failures. In fact, Justin Bieber himself is a failure by that logic. Of course, your logic is faulty to begin with. Justin Timberlake has definitely had a successful solo career and from the looks of it, he'll continue to do so.

@@richardgrace4500 You said "he hasn't had a successful solo career AT ALL." and compared him to Justin Bieber. On a comment that wasn't making comparisons or saying he was better than anyone or anything of the sort. My previous response addressed both your comparison of him to Justin Bieber and your stance on what a successful career is. That you continue to make the comparison demonstrates that you still don't get it. In fact you _really_ don't get it. Hopefully someday you will. ✌️ P. S.: If you honestly think that a website or magazine has an accurate idea of a celebrity's finances you're kidding yourself. _When a celebrity goes bankrupt, why is it that they only report it after the fact, if they know so much?_ These celebrities invest (or blow) their money in many different ways outside of their main careers, the only people who know their true net worth are their accountants. I'm personally not interested in who's richer than who because it makes no sense. They're both wealthy and can afford to live a lavish life. They could retire right now, if they wanted to. But it's another asinine comparison that A) No one can accurately make, and B) doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things.
