“I like the pain”. Ain’t that the truth. Witnessed and observed. I love watching these throw off videos now on to which lines in the song he was really feeling, etc. It’s a long and dark rabbit hole…..

I saw JTE at Daryl's House Club in Pawling NY on Saturday and it was an odd experience. JTE gave an exceptional musical performance but the man is just not likable live. Between the uncool and repetitive scolding of his drummer ( "slow the fuck down" , that everyone in the house could hear) and berating of the crowd as "lame" and "not as cool as the previous night", it was tough to watch. I think after the "business meeting" as he called it, he lost a any momentum he had out of the gate. I know my wife was a lost cause after that. I felt bad for his band, but they still delivered a strong backing. I really had the feeling that he would be better served just playing solo acoustic. Glad I got to see him but relieved when it was over.
