I think trauma can be stored in the body, but it’s not as simple as doing one workout and a bunch of trauma is released like some people make it seem. People act like trauma is a form of toxic matter that can be removed from the body, it’s not lol. Everyone’s body gets tense in different areas when you experience trauma. If you have PTSD or another trauma related issue, you might tense up these areas repeatedly throughout the day without realizing it. So, exercise will help you relax these parts and in a way, “release” the trauma.

about lower back pain - u have to train lower back just like any other muscle. it gets sore but the more u load it, the less pain u will have, at least after the workout. i think deadlifts are great for that. a lot of girls want to only work on glutes and hams but then whenever other muscles are involved, they will be folding and other muscle groups will become limiting factor which is a huge reason to train everything. about knees - if ur knees hurt after lifting or running due to new stress and heavy loads, then combination of exercises can definitely help (speaking from experience here). i had awful pain and worked through it during leg days but then started doing exercises i picked up from kneesovertoesguy here on youtube, in particular - backwards walking, tibialis raise, single leg touchdown, various modified squats. it really helped and my knees now can handle anything, i leg press 140kg with no issues. but u have to be consistent with routines and still do them sometimes after the pain is gone, not to mention importance of warming up before the lifting session. these exercises are not something crazy so it’s unlikely to cause any injury and definitely worth trying. i think it’s common with people who suddenly decided to do a big change and went from couch to the gym - muscle growth rate will outpace strengthening of tendons so while u squat double ur weight, knees are not able to catch up. by doing these exercises u mostly work on muscles around the knee which aren’t targeted as much in conventional lifting exercises, so it builds support system for ur knees to rely on. hope it helps someone

I'm going to preface this by saying that I'm not asking for a professional perspective, since I believe this is kind of outside your area of expertise (possibly? Not 100% sure!), just looking for more of a personal opinion. So, here I go! Why do you think people struggle with the concept of learning and implementing the basics of nutrition and exercise, * before * going for more advanced practices? I wonder if that last question was effectively that kind of mocking "eat right, exercise, die anyway" and like yeah... but the quality of your life until you die varies a lot, and there's a lot you can do to make it as best as possible. IDK, I've been thinking about that a lot as I watch family members in their 50s struggle with basic tasks like walking up steps (not flights of stairs... one or two steps), react abruptly to avoid walking into someone/thing they didn't see, or carry more than one bag of groceries.
