Excellent work. Is that the same router you have had for some time?

Do you have a video of how to mark the hinges on the door frame and match it up with the door plus ensuring edequat gaps at the top and all the way around? Sounds basic but would love a full tutorial.

Nice simple jig, but a few comments. I'd leave the jig on whilst chiselling out the corners, use self-centering hinge drills direct through the hinge, and maybe just use hot glue to hold the jig on the door frame, which would come off with a sharp tap, and not damage anything.

Great little jig, i see a dewalt trim router on your bench, did you not buy the kit with both trim and plunge router together?

Well, the trim router came with an 8mm collet. After I made the video using the router with a 1/2 inch to 1/4 inch collet sleeve, I found the extra 6mm collet for the trimmer tucked away in the box!!! I wanted to use it for this video..... never mind, it'll make an appearance soon enough 😂

Excellent jig, cheap, easy to make and no heartbreak if it gets trashed or pinched. You are only doing a couple of doors, but I'd have made two - one for the doors, and one for the frames. You are a wee bit heavy handed with the cordless: arre you using a PS2 instead of a PZ2 bit? Those stainless screws are as soft as toffee, and Hellish to remove if chewed! That aside, great job getting the doors parallel and level!

Haha, that's not me heavy handed at all it's an impact driver, not a slipping PZ2! Thanks for the comment though 👍

Why didn't you set the depth of the hinge with the depth stop on the router.

Turn the trim router upside down. Place the jig on top upside down with the leaf of the hinge on top .Set the cutter flush with the hinge. Done! Great vid, thanks for sharing.
