I bought my first ever tool box back in March 2017. I didn’t know anything about fixing cars, but I was determined to learn and wanted the best. So I bought a DeWalt 204-Piece DWMT72165, which doesn’t skip any sizes, except for a 20mm for a 1/2 ratchet (and the SAE equivalent). About $210 with taxes. It was the best decision ever. It has very few wrenches, but having a tool set that doesn’t skip sockets absolutely dominates the competition. It comes with extensions for all 3 ratchets, the 3 types of sockets for spark plugs, adapter, and knuckles (universal joints) for those odd angles. It also comes with Hex sockets, which I don’t use often, but have come in handy... and Allen keys, which I have lost. My only con is that the damn sockets fall when opening the box. I just put a random thin card box sheet in it before closing it. Easy, cheap fix. (I lost the one that came with the box originally). It has paid for itself, not going to lie. I have only bought a 5.5 mm socket, and a T55 Hex socket for some very specific jobs. It also has slight rust after all these years, but I mean, I rarely clean the liquids off the sockets and keep it inside the truck. So that’s my fault, I think.

That looks like a good set. I agree that deep wells and swivels need to be included, but otherwise it's near complete for a DIY. I also think they can benefit from selling the tool box by itself.

Best review I have ever watched. Unbiased and honest.

Put a longer set of precision screwdrivers, the crimpers, 2 different corrosion brushes, and 2 sets of 6" or 8" allens INSIDE THE LID of the box. Do it by using magnets to hold the tools into clips (put a magnet on the back of the allen holders too). If there's still enough room, then make a 2-part clip in the lid for the hammer too.

I'm really liking what they offer in that box and I think that would be a great emergency toolbox to throw in the trailer or back of the truck when going to off-road events. Will certainly just throw in some deep sockets from HF in the bottom drawer and probably remove the plastic molding to fit more tools inside.

Overall that seems like a very nice set for a starter automotive tool set for the DIYer.

Good review. I prefer linesman pliers over slip joint. Also the bent hose slip joint are much more usefully than the straight hose great for removing coffee pins.Have

Soild setup the box looks good, but losing the Allen keys adjustable wrench. Half the bits, even the pliers and hammer could help make a better kit IE deep sockets, extensions, adaptors, maybe torx/hex sockets

Pleased with this vid Justin. Honest review. Have often contemplated getting some workpro mechanics stuff. They have a sweet pliers set that I’m looking at to compliment one of my boxes. Think I will. Any links to your buddy’s DIY trials with this kit?

Not too bad of setup. Definitely a plus that they include 6 point sockets. The wrenches would be nice in 6 point for sure. That goes for ALL tool manufacturers! More 6 point wrenches dammit! 😁Cool video man!

I’d love if all my friends bought one of these and verified every tool is in the set before I come over. Then I’m left just grabbing a couple of job specific and or favorite tools.

Nah...I don’t like the difference in your videos when they’re sponsored. I get you gotta do you, but it’s clear your uncomfortable, hopefully that doesn’t mean you feel pressured...keep it real Justin...I like your videos.

Interesting. This seems more like a household tool set, with all the screwdrivers, pliers and random stuff in the bottom drawer. When you went over that top drawer I was expecting the next drawer to have all your deep sockets. Couldn’t believe it when that was it for sockets! My craftsman 216 piece mechanics set has far more sockets than this, even though it’s half the pieces. And it frequently goes on sale for $99.

I always wonder why they include the SAE stuff in there. Even the US auto manufacturers haven't used SAE fasteners for 30 years.

but if they take out the consumables the piece count drops a hundy.... :) Great review.

5/8 = 16mm 3/4 = 19mm So irl there are no skips with the wrenches and sockets.

Almost sounds like an SNL skit... "he does side work and he works on his brothers truck" Serioulsy, a review needs to talk about the actual use of and the quality of the tools. We all want to know how they compare to snap-on and craftsman...

That’s exactly right!!! I just wondered how many actual tools were in this set and it’s actually only 120 pieces. So, split between zip ties, electrical terminals, razor blades, and bits there are over 280 pieces??? What a scam lol!!!

Looks like it is geared towards a home diy person. Probably not prosumer set but good overall as a starter set. Maybe call it a DIYer Home Mechanic. Hammers would be nice to see a dead blow and rubber mallet.

I made mention of all the things that I would change about it in the video. This is just another option for someone to consider. I don't make the product. All helpful suggestions will be considered by workpro tools.
