I love these brushes, I have arthritis in my hands so have never been able to ink blend before. I don't care if I've paid too much for them, they really have changed my life.

I’ve seen several videos where you actually don’t need a brush for each color because the color removes just by rubbing the color off on a paper towel versus washing it in between colors or dedicating one brush to one color. This is why they are life changing - you just need the set instead of spending to buy so many for different colors!

I adore those stencils! Will have to save for some brushes and look around. I like how easy they appear to make blending.

For my make up brushes I use the wet side of my stamp cleaner. I use a little bit of home made stamp cleaner on it. I love the result, and I can go to the next ink almost instantly. If its a bit too wet, I rub it on a cloth

Thank you for another wonderful video Justine. I loved that you created some simply stunning cards in such a short amount of time. I have subscribed to your videos for quite some time now. I just want to say that I appreciate your candor and open approach to card making. You seem to practice as you preach and demonstrate that it is okay not to have every tool/ink/gadget on the market. There is no pressure - it is so very refreshing. Wishing you all the best.

Loved the cards created, and the inspiration, Justine! 💕 But as Rita stated, you can purchase those brushes for one-fourth the price on Amazon. They do make blending a breeze, and easy to clean, but just wiping off on a dry paper towel in between color changes or a baby wipe. I am yet to wash them as the dry paper towels do a great job cleaning them. TFS!😘✨👍🏾

Hate licking envelopes. I absolutely love your videos!! Your cards are clean, clever and simple. Rather than washing those brushes between colors, I've found that one can wipe them on a microfiber cloth and move on to another color without mud. I truly enjoyed your live video yesterday and hope that you will do more of them in the future. One of the questions I have is how you and Laurel Beard became friends. I got some high quality makeup blending brushes that look exactly like these to use on my cards. They work amazingly well and cost about one-fourth the price. I would really like for someone who isn’t sponsored by Picket Fence to do an honest comparison. If the Picket Fence brushes worked significantly better I might invest in them, considering how much improved my blending is with the ones I have. But if the results are basically the same I’ll just stick with what I have. I love the cards you made. They are all just beautiful!
@justinehovey5 жыл бұрын
I wasn’t sponsored to do this video at all. Just to clarify that. However, i don’t have the ones off amazon to know if these are exactly the same ones. I did try a friend’s brushes from amazon with a golden handle and they seemed to be the same.
@christymalone51915 жыл бұрын
Justine Hovey I understand you weren’t sponsored for this video. I’m sorry. I can see how hard it would be to do a true comparison with so many of the makeup brushes out there under so many brands. I didn’t get mine from Amazon either. I actually got them from Zulily. Thanks for your reply. I enjoy your videos so much!
@ckforester38225 жыл бұрын
I love your cards and the ink blending looks so professional. I can’t wait to order those brushes, as I don’t have the wrist power to blend as good as i’d like, and tend to avoid doing any blending. But it’s so pretty, especially with stencils. I want to ask you about the Distress Oxide Inks. Do they dry nicely and w/o heat setting them? I read somewhere that they’re very chalky and come off on your fingers from a finished cardfront. Am hoping that’s just not correct. So I’m just wondering before I invest in any. And, tfs another great video tutorial! You rock.
@justinehovey5 жыл бұрын
They do have a pigment in them so it will take longer than a dye ink to officially dry. I love the chalky finish. It won’t come off after drying though. No heat setting needed, I’ve never done that. If you don’t like that aspect stick to the original Distress inks :)
@ckforester38225 жыл бұрын
Thanks for responding. I think they look so pretty and creamy, so think it’d be worth waiting for them to dry. I’m looking forward to trying these and think I’ll prbly like them more than regular Distress; as they seem like they’re more versatile. Thanks again and really beautiful cards!

Anyone in the UK or Ireland - they can be bought on amazon.co.uk for £5 incl postage. Rip off much Picket Fence? I do not like it when companies do this to crafters. A lot of crafters do so to help them overcome depression, anxiety, loss, grief or trauma. For a craft company to charge such a huge amount for these brushes is absolutely despicable.
@justinehovey5 жыл бұрын
I saw these brushes at my local pharmacy for $50 as well. We don’t know what wholesale cost this company was given on these products - they aren’t Walmart or a major company that can buy thousands at a time and secure a low price. Before we judge them, shop around and buy wherever you like. All shops mark up the price by double no matter the product, they need to earn too. So I’m sure they aren’t trying to rip people off, it’s just their wholesale cost.

I think they work a million times better than blending tools so I am happy to use them. Why wouldn't I use a tool that makes my blending look better? Who cares if it is a makeup brush?? That's exactly what it is and it works great so why not show them off. You don't have to buy them from PF, you can get them on Amazon, I never said you couldn't. So instead of passing judgement on people who are using them, just move on to the next video. Not everything has to be to your taste.
