This is very helpful, thank you. For storing nesting shape dies, I use a strip of magnetic tape. It comes on a roll like cello tape. I put one or two strips of tape across the center of the package insert, and it keeps the dies from dinging each other. Some magnetic tape is not strong enough to grip for the weight of some dies, so I add a second or third layer right on top of (not next to) the first layer. This way I don’t have to buy full magnetic sheets.

You and I have a very similar system for I also use the plastic pockets. I also put the item number on mine for I keep track of my crafts in my computer as well along with my purchase price, category and picture. In my desk drawer I keep my most used died such as shapes so they are handy. I have over 2600 stamp sets and over 700 dies so I had to have something easy for finding what I needed and I found this system to work well for me.

Very helpful as we are always trying to make life easier when making projects. Who wants to spend all their time looking for product? Thanks so much for all the great tips.

I am in the end of my organizing my craft space. So, now it's more the labeling/categorizing . You purging video and this video came at a perfect time! I have followed your method the past few years. It helps in not getting into the "collecting" phase instead of actual using and creating. I meant to comment on the last video..... wanted to say Congratulations to you and your hubby on your little one

OMG . . . this is what has been missing from my (ever-exploding) craft space! I just got my order of die magnets and pockets yesterday and am having fun organizing (and purging) my dies. The stamps will have to wait for now! Thanks for your encouragement, Justine!

I'm in the middle (sort of) of organizing my entire craft studio/room, and it's been a long-going major effort on my part. I'm purging as well as organizing and then comes my labeling and re-organizing (if necessary). Your labeling tips are great and I like the brother label maker you have. I haven't watched the purging video yet, but rest assured it's next on my list. Thank you so much.

I was checking out your stamp dividers and realized they were laminated. Since I have a laminator machine, I tried a stamp on one of my dividers and it worked to hold the stamp in place. Since I'm on a budget due to being retired, I can make my own stamp cards. This way I can custom the size to fit the stamp pockets I already have. Love your channel and all the great tips.

That’s what I’ve done! I put my sentiments on laminated card stock and put them in sheet protectors in binders

I have a similar system with everything in pockets; sets together and dies on magnets (I like the checkout store brand on Amazon) Some brands like Tonic large 3D sets come in their own A4 envelope and magnet and I store those in a milk crate. My labels also include the number of dies or stamps since some products are layering and have lots of pieces. I don’t know if you buy any monthly kits and if so, how do you store those?

Thank you for the video 😊 It will help me organize my stamps. I did the same for dies sets. Any tips to organize stencils that have no coordinating dies/stamps? Thanks

This is fantastic! Thanks for making it! Love your wood dividers! Where do you get the magnet sheets from? A question re the card maker summit - I think I've already signed up but I can't remember. Does it matter if I sign up twice?

Link is in the description for the magnets. It doesn’t matter if you sign up for the summit twice.

I had hundreds of stamps and dies at one point as well. I just stopped being creative and spent more time searching and wondering where to start than I did crafting. Having relatively little isn't for everyone but it works for me quite well.

Do you use an app like Airtable or Evernote to track your stamps and dies?
@justinehovey Жыл бұрын
Technically I do, but I only use it to search if I need a specific sentiment. My collection is quite small so I don’t need to it track items

So, Justine, you’re using the Dividers as the stamp storage rather than the inserts they sell?
@justinehovey Жыл бұрын
I bought the wrong ones as I mentioned. These are the dividers for categories. The ones meant for stamps have tabs on the right left and Center. They are the same product, just with tabs in different areas
@karenwadwell6007 Жыл бұрын
Justine, why do you keep track of which company your supplies are from?
@justinehovey Жыл бұрын
Because when I make videos and create supply lists, I have to know where people can shop the supplies.
