This is the most helpful dissection of Face Shape that I have seen in all my years. Thank you for giving the practical tips, the reality of the face shape and not just a shape superimposed over a face that usually just looks oval every time. It’s really frustrating to have a mixed shaped face, and try and fit yourself into a category. At least this gives more criteria.
@ali3nc4tz586 жыл бұрын
I know that this video is a year old but I still wanted to say: I love that you put pictures of famous actresses in your video! They're good as a reference, but most of all if you don't like your face-shape but see beautiful actresses with it, you're like: this is not bad at all! I have a rather oval shape but with a tendency to square. I always thought well, it might look a little masculine. But then I saw Angelina Jolie and was like: dayumm, that face shape acutally looks really hot and unique! I don't wanna hide my square-features, I wanna accentuate them now! Thank you for this :)
@TIMAFEY25 жыл бұрын
She still looks too masculine in the face.

I think us women with square faces can struggle because we're always told we're "too masculine" and it can make you feel so bad about yourself but these videos really help that self-esteem
@gianna5262 жыл бұрын
@@TIMAFEY2 lmao that's why people feel insecure about it. It's not her fault she has that face shape, and it looks very cool and unique. It's totally ok if you don't like it, but you don't have to tell people that, especially when someone just mentioned feeling insecure about it.

One if the best guides I've ever seen, because it's not just a lot of pictures of hairstyles "if you have this shape". A lot of women do not know how to identify their shape - and if they dont know their shape, how are they supposed to know if it's the styles of a particular shape that will fit their's. This is more about identifying your shape than just inspiration which us actually usefull.

I’m a little late with a comment but this is a very clear description of face shapes. I discovered that I have an oval face. Sometimes it is harder to determine your face shape if you carry extra weight. You have to use your bones to determine your shape. I was puzzled that you didn’t say you have a long face without also saying your chin is narrower than your forehead. I thought perhaps you have a long heart shaped face. Thank you for this excellent video.

Hello Heather how are you doing today...it's a good thing you are enjoying the channel..how long have you been following this channel?

I have a long face and do exactly the same as you do with your hair: dry for volume and wear it swept across my face to look like a side swept fringe. I thought mid length hair would suit me best with a long face, but oddly I feel more 'balanced' with longer hair. Got it cut too short at Christmas and I am willing it back to it's former length as soon as possible. :]

Strawberry 1 Hi I have an oval shape. I am 70 yrs old which style would suit me I have quite thick hair in good condition Suzanna
@strawberry10257 жыл бұрын
Hi Suzanna. I am no expert at all but I think that Justine's advice that oval faces suit most styles is completely true. Especially if you have lovely thick hair in good condition as you do. Choose whatever you like, perhaps not too long as it can drag features down a little as you age. You could wear anything well. :D
@akshatha16727 жыл бұрын
Hello Suzanna i think mid length hair with layers swept inwards would look charming on a mature face and since you mentioned that you have thick hair you should get layers it looks very put together

I feel like I'm an oval shaped but I've read somewhere that oval shaped faces high high cheek bones which I don't have (maybe it's the chubby cheeks?), Plus I have a big face so it almost looks round but it's not, but it's also not as slim as most oval faces which makes me think I'm a square but I don't have that kind of jawline *sigh*
@jenniferallday7 жыл бұрын
I'm in the same boat as you ladies, but according to the points in this video, I am, in fact, oval. (I apparently just have extra "hidden cheeks" that come out when I smile. 😉😄)

First time I've ever heard anyone speak of the diamond shaped face. I've struggled for years trying to find the perfect haircut. Wispy bangs, parted on one side. A little poof on the top, with lots of texture, to allow the hair to softly hide the jawline. The texturing, makes it appear like there is even more hair, than what there really is. Great cut in my opinion, for anyone with thinng hair. Thanks!!!

Billy M it's a huge generalization of course...but Italian noses tend to be big! I have learned to accept it...but I wouldn't mind waking up one day with a new little princessy cute nose!!! 😄 hope you didn't mess up too much with your tea 😉

My face. Is so. Unsymmetrical. Not the features, the shape. One cheekbone is higher, one jawline is higher, one forehead corner is higher

do you have double joint issues?I do and if my jaw isn t totally in place my face looks unbalanced.It s then half out of the place ot should be to function.I don t feel it and it functions just fine ..so I only see it or know it by looking in the mirror,by feeling the joints of my jaw or by someone else that notices it and tells me(most times strangers wont see it ..only my partner or very very close friends)

That's not uncommon. Asymmetrical layers or bangs can help disguise it . My nose is my most asymmetrical part. No disguising that lol. I keep bangs split over one eye to disguise my differing brow lines
