Hi Justine, My favourite piece in my wardrobe is my "hardworking" dress - these change over time, but must be comfortable, fitted but not tight, smart, have pockets, not crease, be worn with low heels, go from day to night, go with a jacket, and have sleeves. This is my goto dress when I know I have a big day. As a Deputy Principal in a school, my hardworking dress gives me confidence, is professional and modest (can cut it with the guys in suits), pockets hold keys, markers, tissues and stickers, low heels means I can run if necessary, non creasing means it looks good all day (and usually doesn't require ironing).

Omg Justine, I come from a very hick town, men wear baseball hats women wear yoga pants but to be fair we have very cold temps for half the year! I am trying to set an example but I don’t get it right all the time!

The tiny shorts are a luxury trend - not for public transit. If I was a professional dancer, I would wear tiny shorts to a party if going by private transportation. The trend mixing delicate/substantial textures for a masculine/feminine vibe works better reversed, as Justine suggested - a pair of rugged pants and a floating delicate blouse. Or even less effort, maybe a masculine look over all with a statement feminine accent piece - like a single giant flower earring , playing off the flower trend.

Okay l see a trend of juxtaposition of opposites across these mood boards. All these ideas totally work and seem to make sense to me and l would definitely try all of them. It's fun to experiment, right? As a petite gal l don't do giant florals but l get complimented with inexpensive cloth floral pins l wear with blazers and cardigans. Bought them YEARS ago inexpensively from H&M that can be worn in the hair or worn as broaches that get noticed and complimented on with simple clothing that is not busy and are generally without patterns. I would wear the tiny short thing only if the shorts themselves are high waisted or at least mid rise. I have a pair of each. I just need to find them! My high waisted pair are also creased and have a built in belt

In building my home I visited savage yards and collected various architectural interest...such as stainglass ...used as a divider in hallway ....corner blocks...and i spent thousand on my herring block floor ....with rich stone accent i n tile floor...as you alway say reuse recycle and repurpose ...i know you dont have time but let the process evolve naturally in a timely process as you keep it simple in areas such as your bedroom and office
