True story. The day Oasis hit their first number one they played Belfast. Sat with Liam in the secret “Bob Marley” suite 😉 listened to him for an hour along with the other engineers (weed sorted him out earlier). Solid lad who adored his older brother but only understood 50% of the conversation but still a good lad all the same. Good memories

This track is basically like we've opened a time capsule from 1997. Kula Shaker, Charlatans, Hurricane #1, Oasis (obv), The Seahorses, Ian Brown, Ocean Colour Scene, Shed Seven (you get the picture)... And it brings back great memories of drinking cider on the park with a bad curtains hairstyle. Good times!

I love that grating, abrasive voice of his. Always felt Liam was the attitude and Noel was the melody. I was getting smashed with Oasis growing up as my 2 older brothers were obsessed and I honestly preferred what was going on in America at that time. I loved Stone Roses and Ride but I came to appreciate Oasis later on when it wasn't being forced upon me. Just fantastic songwriters but always felt they weren't particularly about musicianship. There's a simplicity and directness that is undeniably brilliant and can't be overstated. I prefer his solo stuff to Noel's I must say which seems more fanciful and frilly.

Do you remember the kids TV programme, Rainbow ? It had Geoffrey, Bungle and Zippy in it. I'd say that John Squire is Bungle as he has bungled every group he has been in. And that Liam Gallagher is Zippy because he is so mouthy. Maybe they could tour with Rod, Jane and Freddy ?

Justin you absolutely crack me up 😂😂😂You PERSONALLY are HILARIOUS my late husband was in a led zeppelin tribute band and I done the vocals on battle of Evermore, didn’t have a clue what it was about but when band practice occurred I found battle of Evermore could have a OLAH flamenco feel the boys just looked at me dead pan but we then recorded a entire Led zeppelin Album me on tut cover and disk in my long hooded cape I was wearing pink cowboy boots eww when photos were taken the lead guitarist who put it together said he would make them black but to my confusion he left them pink Anyway the rest of the band didn’t believe it was me until My husband and lead guitarist told them that yes it was me then suddenly My husband said and Look at you holding court 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️loved him so much and miss him dreadfully

I love this tune too! Loved Oasis and liked The Stone Roses. Liam still has that awesome walk and stance. One of my biggest disappointments is having tickets, for what turned out to be, the last Oasis tour in Toronto. Family member got sick and I had to sell them 2 days before the show. We have very similar musical tastes Justin!❤

I like the tune apart from the bit where Liam lists the colours of the Rainbow which reminds me of the kids "i can see a rainbow" song. Nevertheless, a world where legendary Roses guitarist John Squire, and former Oasis frontman Liam G team up is a better world. It reminds me of all sorts of things. The Stones, The Beatles, The Roses and Oasis rolled into one. Looking forward to hearing more of their collaborations. Peace & Love ❤

Justin sang the colours in the tune of that song. He just got the “olive” wrong, as it’s “purple and orange and blue”. Why is a 50 year old memory so accessible? It must be because it’s a musical memory.
