I thought this was a dumb fearture. I have unlimted data on all my phones and I felt like GM was an attempt to sell you more. It would cost $40 a month to have Onstar and this data plan. Total rip off and it took me 3 times calling Onstar to cancel it in my 2023 Tahoe. Felt like they were trying to scam me. Not off to a good start GM. I my Toyota this never happened and all of her nav and radio features work just wonderful.
