It's a sand perch NOT squirrelfish. Squirrelfish are in much deeper water (500+ ft) and look totally different

Hell yea Brent is the man. I grew up fishing this area and its killer. Glad you came this way and made a video
@donniedarko13453 жыл бұрын
thank you for this video. I am currently living in San Diego for the past 20 years and I have plans to move to FL, Tampa in particular. KZbin is great for researching what species of fish I will be targeting soon. Its a learning experience to fish in a new area for sure! I've been fishing my entire life, 2-4 times a week. I've got San Diego pretty dialed in for both fresh and salt water. I hear Florida is the "fishing capitol of the world". I'm excited to be apart of the FL fishing community!

That first fish you got....I fished the Miss Cape Canaveral headboat back in the 80's every weekend and we caught them and called them Charlie Browns. Have no idea why, but that's what they called them on that boat back in the day. Squirrel fish to us were an all red large eyed small snapper looking thing, body like a beeliner but with larger eyes. Times change, fish names change. Ha!
