Nothing like the Rockies. Oh yeah! Love your colours. You are not afraid to go with colourful clothing. A fashionable man. Hang in there with the bears. We have bears up near Whistler BC and yeah the Grizzlies are now settling into Whistler. Please be safe and hang in there buddy Sheila🇨🇦Vancouver BC

I loved how you mentioned how fear can creep in on a solo trip and how you deal with it. I experience the same thing. Backpacking solo is a special experience.

The fear is real. An interesting thing is that I experience more fear at camp grounds and when car camping than when out in the backcountry. People scare me. haha

God those purple shorts! I know they're like your favorites lol. Everything else looked great. Its crazy how many trees are down from the ice storm we got in Sault Sainte Marie this past winter. Almost every trail ive hiked thus far has just been covered in tree tops and broken branches. Im a little jealous. Naw, looks beautiful out there. Glad you got to get out.

I always carry a Garmin InReach, whether solo or in a group and if on a day hike or multi-day. I think it is one of the best pieces of gear out there.

I see you have a tarp with your tent. I’m thinking of doing the same thing for a 37 day hike to start soon as trails open up again. I thought process on the tarp is to help keep the tent dry for ease of repcking and if setting up in the rain. Did you find it’s worth the extra weight to carry?
@JustinOutdoors
@JustinOutdoors 4 жыл бұрын
For this trip, I found the tarp worth it. But for a 37 day hike, I don't think I'd bring it. It's a lot of extra weight!

I think we passed you on the trail. It was my second backcountry hike and it had rained a lot... it was a rough first night for me. I don’t know why I remember it all so well, but we had just cross a small creek and it would have been my first crossing like that. I believe we saw you right after that. You stopped briefly and shared how far you had come and where you were going. Watching the videos, I wish we could have gone further than Mystic Junction from Norquey. The hike is a lot more scenic after Mystic Pass! Anyways, just thought I’d share my random memory! I just found your KZbin page and am enjoying the videos! Thanks for making them!
