I believe gj has a code that prioritizes CQC maps for top tier for 2 reasons 1. Battles in smaller maps end faster which helps with quicker MM 2. Atleast 2/3 of players in top tier want fast engagement times and quick battles

3. faster battles means lower rewards which means slower grind and get you more hooked to the game, and more frustrated, which gives them more money in time.

@@spitfire125 usually you see these comments since these, including myself, are rather frustrated and like to voice our concerns about the MM which is exacerbated since the introduction of the automatically setting rangefinder. Players are only now becoming around to this longer range combat and i admit that my 2/3's is based on a discussion i made more than a half a year ago and my oldest was from late 2019 with almost 3/4's of them apperantly wanting faster combat similar to WOT

@@spitfire125 large maps dont work for WT gameplay, either maps needs to be fixed because open maps are just dumb with spawn camping/sniping right at the start of the game, or make more smaller city maps

I'm glad the content issue with that other website was resolved in a peaceful manner, at first you didn't seem thrilled and understandably so but it's so comforting that you were able to reason with them and worked things out, like I said before you're a great person, Justin! Speaking of the TAM 2IP, you should definitely cover it, fully recommend it only downside is it has no thermals or night vision for the gunner so in night battles you highly rely on 3rd person shooting.

The basic version is T-80B(without ERA) then it turn into BV(with ERA) then the BV upgraded again into BVM

BVM isn't upgraded from the basic T-80B. T-80BVM are upgraded from the T-80BV that are BV out of the factory, which are made with later-style hull armor(inherited by T-80U). In-game T-80BV kept the basic hull of the early T-80B. So as you can tell by now, true Russian Bias hasn't even happened yet(T-80U hull for T-80B kontakt-1 modification).

Not really, the T-80BVM is a T-80BV with those improvements. The BV sharing the same hull armor as the early T-80U that we have in game, being better then the B

@@Kwisss not exactly, as the hull of the ingame T-80U is actually originally used on a T-80BV. Only the first batch of T-80U had the layout of the hull that we see ingame

@@shepardpolska Not BV, it's B. Only feature BV has is Kontakt-1 ERA, took it and it's B again. V stands for vzryvnoy meaning explosive, just like t-64 and t-72 had that designation. VM stands for explosive modernize, so not only better ERA but improved FCS, improved cannon for new rounds, and slightly better engine

The T-64B with its armor addon is also a real good gem in the Russian line-up. Uptiers can be painful, but it's still capable of of doing A LOT. It's 9.3 and still kicks ass to most tanks at 10.3.

True, but it's painfully slow. I preffered using the t64a with 3bm22 as a backup to t80b even while uptiered to 11.0 just because its so much more nimble

I wish the upgraded armor would give it the "BV" package it would give it the T-80U ufp but with kontakt 1 because right now every apfsfs that look at you will lolpen you and it's not really fun when you don't have survivability on your side

Seriously? It has worse thermals ammo and speed, and still fights mostly 11.0 vehicles. One brilliant thing about it is it's cheap to repair so it's good for grinding in a lineup with t64s

Hello, it seems you are playing a completely different game. I used my 8.3 setup (T-55AM1, T-62 and T-55A) to go through the Russian tree and finaly decided to try some high tier. So I got myself T-80B, used all my precious eagles to get the 3BM42, Kontakt and laser rangedinder and wen to a battle. Well from about 20 battles I managed to ge 5 kills. In most cases I am oneshotted frontaly, or set to fire or get my gun out by the time I can even realize there is an enemy. Last time on European Province, that idiotic map where you can shoot from spawn to spawn I waited, saw a tank, rangefinded, shot aaaand Hit. It then shot back and killed me. M1A1 Abrams it was. So I am going back to 8.3. Or maybe I will try 9.0 - 9.3 (botrh T-64s and the first T-72). But no way I will waste time in anything higher.

I used it when I spaded the 2S25M as my second or third ground spawn. I was surprised how easy it played out. I remember at the end of last year I really get my but kicked in it. But 10.7 Leo spam was real then. Now, with a lot of games around 9.7 to 10.3 it is in a good spot.

If you have kontakt-1 ERA on a T-80B then it's not a T-80B anymore it becomes a T-80BV

You know the bmp2m is alittle OP when it outperforms all the cv90s in the game. That cv90 unloaded his whole clip and two missiles just to kill you. Meanwhile a bmp2m can kill you in several bursts of just 1 rocket

Justin, we gotta see the Begleitpanzer with its APHE. In your original video of the Bagel you only used the solid shot! The APHE is so good, it effectively 1-shots anything it comes across! (This is also a good excuse to use the HE-VT shells ;)). I pretty much exclusively use the APHE because of the fact it gets ATGMs that can handle anything the APHE can't. It's honestly just super fun getting a bunch of side shots on MBTs (and killing them in a single shot). I also think the Bagel is a good indicator of where the PT-76-57 will be headed BR-wise. The PT obviously isn't as fast and doesn't have a missile, but I could easily see it going to 7.7 or 8.0 (especially since its APHE has nearly double the Bagel's APHE pen, is fully stabilized, and has a laser rangefinder).

Just subscribed to you after watching this vid and download war thunder as a result. Already at BR 5 but seem to have hit a dead spot where my m4a2 feels like paper compared to other tanks I'm facing such as the tigers and panthers and others with all my rounds unable to pen. Would you have any advice for a beginner

It feels the same as a russian main against panthers and king tigers. Things get way better when you get stabilizers because you can shoot for weakspots without waiting for the gun to stop bouncing while the other guy just has to hit you anywhere. I generally hate brs below 7.7 because of this. Low tier shermans do get a stabiliser so you should be able to hit weakspots easily, just learn them (wt wiki is a good source of info, also you can do armor analysis of any tank even if you dont own it, so just look at tanks you face) if you dont know how i will explain
