Why don't you just pop the spool out of the side of the reel? Makes it so much easier to feed the line through the holes or to work with the knot

Good day Justin, I have a SLX XT B 8.3 to 1 and it is on a Dobbins Fury 7' 3" heavy. I use it for frog fishing and it works great. It's my number 2 frog outfit. It's now 3 yrs old and no problems. I have SLX's , SLX DC, Curado DC Curado K 70 Curado 200 and a few more and the newest Shimano SLX 70 MGL I just got for 149.00. I haven't used it yet but it feels really good.

Both great reels. The caius is way more durable than people think ..smooth too …but I’d switch em …put the graphite body caius on the 6’9m for treble hook squarebills and topwaters etc. ..and put the xt on the 7’4 for the jig hooked baits since it has the aluminum body. Just a suggestion. Tight lines brotha

He did pull tests with Fluro and Mono. Did wet and dry. Mono showed needed wet, but Fluro actually broke at lower levels wet than dry. Was a lot weaker. Was interesting

I have bought 2 of these reels from TW. Both of them I couldn’t even turn the external dial. I had not done anything to the reels and whenever I get a new reel I like to mess with the handle, tension knob and the break dial on the side. But with the reels I had, I couldn’t even push the external dial past 1 and I was using all my strength. Not sure why so I sent them both back. I have few slx DC’s and a few other Shimano reels and I have no problems with the external dials on my other Shimanos but for some reason I could not get the dial on this reel to push past 1.

Since you primarily use Shimano reels, have you ever thought about trying other Daiwa models? I remember a few years back you tried the Tatula CT 100, which you really liked, but I was curious if you’ve explored any of their other reels, like the newer Tatula, Zillion, or Steez? As someone who’s mainly used Shimano reels (both baitcasters and spinning), I was surprised by how well the Daiwa Zillion SV TW performed after two seasons on the water. After the first season, I did a full bearing tune with Spool Speed Bearings' kit, and it’s been super smooth and casts great! Would love to hear your thoughts on comparing Daiwa reels to Shimano’s, based on your experience, in a future video. 👊🏻🎣

Just curious-have you thought about switching up the handle design on your spinning rod line with 6th Sense? Something like reversing the EVA foam handle and lock nut, similar to the Shimano Expride B or St. Croix spinning rods. Would be interesting to see how it feels and performs!

You have to se the film on making ANY BAITCASTER to work like a Svivlo Reel, AMAZING!!!! SE Greyarcher1
