Back in 2009, I decided to teach myself guitar. Mainly because I wanted to play Beatles songs for my first child as she was due in June the following year. Of all the youtube tutorials, yours made that dream a reality. I've been playing ever since. Our daughter is now 7 and has 5 year old brother as well. So thank you Justin for your gift and dedication. Cheers!

It's people like you Justin, that keep music a universal language. You help spread the word, and we should all thank you for that. I know I do. Thank you very much indeed!

Thanks for playing what is essentially the whole song through at the beginning. Though I'm sure you have provided a full and complete lesson for those who require it, I personally only needed the first 1:10 or thereabouts to figure it out. Lastly, thanks also for not wasting our time with unnecessary logos and long-winded introductions before getting to the song. More KZbin guitar lessons should be as to the point as yours. Thanks again.

This was the biggest help for this song. Thorough, simple, and that little bit with the chorus and the G? Loved that.

Another alternative for 9:19 for anyone struggling: You could barre the second fret on the top three strings with your index finger and leave your pinky on the 3rd fret on the b string. Your third and second finger fret the descending bass line on the A string.

Lesson right on the money, Justin. But the intro on the original track is just one measure of G strummed as you show us: down down-up-down, down down-up-down. 1-2&3 4-5&6. I really like your teaching and lesson style, thank you so much.

Unique tone that I call quietly bright ( I know that doesn't make sense but if you get a chance to play one you will understand). And the best strings on one are Ernie Ball s

An incredibly good video! So good to see a proper lesson, directly to the point. I also greatly enjoyed your lesson of Romeo and Juliet by Dire Straits, although I'm used to playing it in normal tuning with the capo on the 5th fret. Any chance at all you could show us how to play The Boxer by Simon and Garfunkel? As in, properly like Simon plays it fingerstyle, with all his hammers, leaks and other cool stuff, and not just the basic chordal patterns? None of the tabs I've managed to find so far does it correctly beyond the intro and the first couple of lines, just from the point where it starts getting trickier. Pretty PLEASE?!

p.s. I was looking around for a good audio recordings of the studio track to play along with after your lesson, and I came across this, and ACTUALLY thought it was some amazing high quality rare Beatles performance, it was actually John Lennon! And I thought I would learn from the author himself, watch his fingers - it helped, but amazingly enough that's not John! kzbin.info/www/bejne/op7Hd3qtZqyWr7c

or you can just watch the REAL John's fingers in the Help! movie during that song, the camera zooms in pretty clearly to see what he's doing! duh.
