I have all the three of them and I notice how the neck of this new one is longer than the GOTG2 one, making him less dumpy. The waistline of this jacket is also slightly tighter. I feel it actually makes him slimmer. I just want to know how your GOTG1 jacket is still intact. I bought a pre-owned one. Before unboxing it it was fine. I touched it, it just “dusted away” immediately....

Thanks Justin for another excellent and thorough review. The accessories with this one is ok but doesn’t justify for another release especially since Gamora 2.0 was announced a year before this one. Also the GOTG 2.0 version is still the one to get since whenever Gamora does come out how cool would it be to display them all in their space armor

This figure is awesome! I love the accessories it comes with; they really help to create more accurate/dynamic poses. My only gripe is that I wish they used the fit of the the gotg2 pants and jacket with the new shirt and headsculpt. I’m a sucker for tight clothes lol

Hey Justin, just wanted a penny for your thoughts on what you might recommend. I've been wanting to pick up a Star Lord for a while and I have always liked the original figure from the first movie, but I am worried about the quality of the jacket and bag, after all the figure has been around for some time. So I'm thinking either getting the newer Infinity War Star Lord or the original if you reckon the materials would be holding up. I know TW have the original in stock but I feel it might not be doing so great sealed in the box all this time. Would be great to hear your opinion. Cheers.

Nobody will be able to tell how long the material will last unfortunately. Just pick which one you like best and enjoy it for as long as it lasts!

Justin, you are the Smaug of Hot Toys. I always imagine your home to be the Lonely Mountain of Hot Toy treasures. I just received my 1/6th Hot Toys Starlord: Endgame figure. If I might add one piece of insight. The looser fit pants and fabric are useful in posing the figure sideways. For example, I'm a huge John Woo fan so I have Starlord posed like Chow Yun Fat in Hard Boiled. Because the jacket makes the figure more top heavy, you can use the bendable arm to get some crazy poses. My one minor criticism, I would have liked small flame blast for the boot rockets in order to accentuate that he's flying.

This figure is reasonable for the price, is it a must have 🤔 No sadly it isn't if you have the GOTG 2 deluxe version. If this is your first Hot Toys, or first Star Lord, it's a decent piece. Not too many hot toys that you can get at that price point anymore, and they're selling cheap on Ebay right now.

I don't know why, but I just can't manage to see Chris Pratt in any of the Star Lord releases. Maybe cause I first saw the actor in Parks and Rec and since it's a show, I basically had to see his more chubby version for some years. The again, rewatching the GotG movies, there is still something odd about the way he looks here. I don't want to be too judgmental since I recently got a Jyn Erso figure, and for some reason no matter what I do she simply doesn't look like Felicity Jones on pictures or video, but in hand and to the naked eye I can immediately tell who the figure is representing.
