thank you very much for this! I'm 33 and going to start a bachelor in data science, online, at the same time as I study to complete the equivalency to a high school diploma. So learning all alone and with a full time job, I really needed a "hands-on", real and true way that showed actually how to study, not only the theory and what you should and shouldn't. Thank you very much!

I am an older physician who has been on medical leave. I have had the time to Figure out how to study. I would recommend having all ur books and materials on your tablet or iPad. I would also say use ai tools like Quizlet and perplexity to Summarize both ur books and lectures. I definitely get into the flow state and encode things with ease. I know it's an oversimplification of the whole study session, but can we say that the study session centers around the idea of combining "concept map" and "Mind map" and elaborating on it over time. Ahh, Guyton and Hall physiology! One helluva book I had to digest as a second year med school student here in Croatia. I still have the book nearby in a bookcase. I'm third year now and began mind mapping recently(heavily influenced by your methods), especially for the massive subject of pathology. I scored the first half-year exam quite well. It's a big but long term useful task to make mind maps with enough info with the balance of pictograms and words(I find making symbols/small drawings beneficial in increasing retention). Cheers from Croatia!

Really eye opening seeing it play out :o, I understood on a conceptual level what you teach in so many of your videos, but seeing it play out is a whole different thing altogether! Having said that, I do have questions, hope you can answer: 1) You do this for each and every Topic of a class? 2) Usually in your field, how many Topics, on average, does a class have? 3) How do you fit practice into this? if the topic requires practice like math, coding or art, or maybe you have to do a project using the learned material, do you do the practice after covering the whole topic in its entirety? Thank you in advance for your time if you decide to reply.

I don't plan on copying it or using it as an example but I think it will help everyone out. Since the notes follow your train of thought it will be useless to everyone else but I'm certain it will help everyone get an idea of where they should be after a good amount of time and some more learning.

I'd suggest delving more into how & why the method you're using is supposed to work. For example with calculus, if you're trying to find the max/min of a quadratic function, you make an equation where the derivative = 0. Why? Because you know the shape of a parabola, and that only at the max/min does it flatten for an instant. Unfortunately, this kind of info is often skimmed over or not taught at all, but if you're at a university level then you can & should ask the professor at office hours. Plus, learning this context makes you a better problem-solver, instead of just a person carrying a manual of procedures, which I think is much more fulfilling.
