I take creatine and it affected my lifting performance drastically as the research suggests. Every time I dont take it I feel a huge deficit in my intense training capacity. I didnt notice a significant change in cognitive and general well being, which research shows some effect. I take ashwaganda and It definitely calms be down and improves sleep and research suggests it dercreases cortizol. I also noticed it nulls me too much when I take it for too long, as the research suggests it may lead to anhedonia. I feel the effects go away and come back everytime I hop on and off of taking it. I take caffeine we all know it works. I take omega 3 pills which makes me feel like I have a bit more working memory. Research suggests it has multiple affects on cognition with the most noticable affect on memory. I do feel the affect come and go. This is not a nootropic but I take collagen powder and It definitely keeps my knees healthy as I am a jumping track athlete. The research shows clear reduction in knee pain as well.

Currently, though, after 90 shots, it takes some time for me to notice a difference. I am attentive and more efficient at work. I don't know if it's placebo. I like that it helped me as an aid. This was very informative and a great review. Thanks a lot. This is actually incredibly helpful! I am a screenwriter. Here is my experience with Nootropics. I usually write in 5h blocks daily. I used a compound made of L-Tyrosin 160mg Griffonia Seeds 160mg Koffein 120mg Rhodiola rosea 120mg Ginkgo biloba 100mg Bambussprit extract 20mg Zink 10mg Vitamin B6 (P5P) 2mg Vitamin B12 (CC) 5μg I always felt a boost in focus and energy in every writing session. I usually don't consume coffeine, so that may have had something to do with it, but it felt really good. But I might also add, that if I'm in a routine, I can produce the same writing result. The nootropics just made the process somewhat more convenient.

a few of those, especially the l-tyrosine, are greatly underdosed. a standard 6oz serving of chicken would contain 12x more l-tyrosine than that blend does. i know the amino acids compete for absorption in the digestive tract but you would still absorb more from the chicken than you do with that pill. if nootropics are something you are passionate about and you notice any positive effects from the blend you are taking i recommend buying each ingredient individually from a reputable brand. that way you can ensure you are getting an effective dose from a high quality isolate rather than whatever generic product the manufacturer of the blend can get in bulk for cheap. beyond being underdosed, all nootropic blends are marked up, so buying the ingredients individually is more cost effective in the long run. hope this didn't come off as me judging, i'm just trying to be helpful :)

A few remarks in defense of nootropics: 1. The usual method with nootropics is to use them a few days a week max. Not an everyday thing since sensitivity drops off really quickly. You can alternate between stacks to have some kind of boost each day if need be. 2. You're not supposed to FEEL some nootropics; they're not like stimulants. Cholinergics in particular just do their thing and you realize it later. 3. The most effective substances are not OTC dietary supplements. That said, stacks like Gorilla Mind can be great. 4. Lots of sellers are scams, so you need to do your research before dropping 40 bucks on anything. Most importantly, make sure the ingredients are dosed correctly at a fair price. Proprietary blends are scams since they mask the dosages.

Well, I'd love to share my experiences with nootropics. First off - not a nootropic, but fish-oil is just a good little nudge in performance. The second thing is Tyrosine. From what I found online, it is only consistently effective in improving mental sharpness during physical exhaustion. Here's how it works for me: about one-two days with a week or two of rest in-between it improves my mood/attention greatly, effects diminish fast. However, it consistently helps me recover attention/good mood after a physical work-out while still enjoying a runner's high. The third thing I have tried is GABA supplementation and for me, it specifically increases my ability to process emotions (I can cry/laugh noticeably more easily, but my mood is somehow more stable), but I do not take it too often as it again tapers off after a few days and loses its edge. It is also sleep-inducing. For comparison to a more serious medication, they all pale in comparison to the nuke I take as sleeping meds - a bit of quetiapine. That stuff's nasty in side effects but it's *strong.* The strongest aforementioned nootropic is the GABA (500mg) and I recommend consulting a doctor for this one. The tyrosine is after that, its effects are pretty good after 3000mg per dosage for a good hour *when there is a mental workload involved,* it does very little if you're not firing on all cylinders. I have tried 20grams Tyrosine per dose, there are diminishing returns after about 6 grams and no data on side-effects, so it's a big yolo and it does not agree with my stomach. The fish-oil is like the difference between an okay rest and a good rest for performance - it's noticeable and I cannot recommend it enough. I take 15g (5g EPA+DHA) daily when I can afford it. The filtering processes *should* remove all the mercury found in fishies if you take food-grade fish-oil, but otherwise a bit of phat salmon every now and then should yield good results. Just make sure to steam it so that the oils don't get fried into oblivion. That's all I got, hope yall find it usefull. o7
@Dank_Lulu
@Dank_Lulu 11 ай бұрын
@Gonda You bring-up a good point! It's worth noting a few things here: The dose was increased gradually during the initial try-testing, it is an obvious risk to take more than recommended; Tyrosine creates an *abundance* of dopamine, not an excess by virtue of the mechanism of action - it is a *natural precursor* to dopamine, but the brain has to make said dopamine itself in the first place (it will not make or use more than it needs). The mechanism is completely different from forced dopamine increase like in stimulant medications (ritalin, adderal, etc) so you should not get an excess even if you take the whole bottle. That being said, there is limited research, pointing to the body potentially processing it a little differently as a supplement than the naturally extracted Tyrosine from, say a steak (it's an amino-acid, found in natural protein in the first place). You are, however about as likely to get psychosis from the 2 grams of Tyrosine, found in a 200g piece of roasted meat as you would be from taking it as a supplement. It's good to be carefull but you can take some risks if you've done your research and you have good practises involved. And they *are* risks - research is still lacking, but if it was likely to cause an excess of dopamine, it would be as good as meth and if it was *that* strong, everyone would be losing their minds, trying to get a ton of the stuff before it became illegal. What you get from Tyrosine is the feeling of just having had a great big barbecue meal and feeling recharged, because that's basically where your brain would get these quantities naturally.

I can also really recommend some high quality fish oil. I had very frequent colds before, but now after taking my fish oil every morning, I have not been ill for more than half a year so far. I will take a look at and try some tyrosine, as you recommend, to see if I get some positive effect.
@Dank_Lulu
@Dank_Lulu 11 ай бұрын
@@TheIllerX Awesome! I did not know that fish-oil might help with overall health since it's mostly for brain health but it makes sense because IIRC cell membranes need the stuff. As for the Tyrosine, I recommend treating it like caffeine and starting-off with the recommended dosage about 30 minutes before a mental work-out. It lasts a good hour up to three hours and there is a mild, but noticeable crash after that. I find that a good meal and a quick nap counters said crash quite effectively. For me, it does not do much of anything without a serious study session to go with it. Methinks that's because it is simply a precursor to dopamine/norepinephrine and without a reason to make those, the brain just throws it away after a few hours. And expect some unforseen consequences if you take more than a gram on an empty stomach. 😅

TBH I don't know whether it has an effect on me, I haven't felt any changes and I've been taking them for months now. I'll have to start doing some research on the ingredients. So ive ben into nootropics for a while and honestly decent video. Here are a few things. First a list of my favorites i stack constantly 1. Ltheanine 2. Alpha gpc 3. Phosphatidylserine 4. Ashwagandha ksm-66 5. Loins main 8:1 extract 6. Bacopa moneri All of these ive noticed a huge difference in life style and honestly they work great. With bacopa it is an herbal moi a&b, so aboid that accordingly. Loins maine increases ngf (neuro growth factor), so act accordingly. Now ltheanine, alphagpc and Phosphatidylserine are all pretty much food extracts that are available but this an easier system for the delivery. With alpha gpc just know too much choline can cause some angry bursts. But honestly ltheanine and caffiene works great after waiting 90 minutes after waking up. Alpha gpc is great on days when i dont eat eggs (massive sources of choline). And Phosphatidylserine is great for stress, same as Ashwagandha.

I actually used this website before using all of these supplements, and a lot of the effects where rated "B" or "C", and yeah, I did feel the effects of slight calmness from the ashwaganda. I also did gain strenght from the creatine, which was listed as an effect, although a lot of strength can be a result of placebo, an I was going consistently to the gym, so who knows if the gain in strength was me just improving. Overall, I got some acne from the supplements (ashwaganda especially) and so i just stopped using them as at that point it wasnt worth it.

Vast majority of "nootropics" don't do anything that actually has a noticeably positive impact. If you're already healthy, that is especially more so the case. Their effects are also highly individual. If you're not already super fit, eat a clean and nutritious diet, and get excellent sleep, fix those things first. Even with the right kinds of nootropics, the benefits are far outweighed by fixing any of these three basic aspects of your life.

There is stuff that should work and is backed up by scientific evidence, but in reality it does nothing for you. Sometimes stuff only works sublingually (under the tongue).

After watching the video, the fact he pretty much says they're not worth it while being sponsored by them makes me trust his opinion on them even more.

I will say I agree with the other replies. I will also add that the subject of the video isn't Magic Mind, but rather Nootropics in general. That's an important distinction.

Nootropocs made a very positive impact for me. I was a mess post covid with little to no motivation for work. The thing with nootropics is that you have really experiment with the ingredients and form ur own blend. Different ppl have different harmonal im balances and you would gain the most of you take a stack that addresses your problems.

I take it. It helps with focus a little, but that is about it. I don’t notice a difference in drive or energy on it. It’s not worth it to me for the price.,I’m trying to find something that helps with drive and motivation and haven’t came across any that work for those yet.

LOL what a Clickbait Title.. of course no two people have identical neurochemistry at any given moment. No question some nootropics work for a lot of people, of course there are issues of tolerance, cycling on and off, way too much to cover in such a simple overview. Anyone's personal experience, statistically, is meaningless.

In my experience nootropics work very well when you have an uneven 100 IQ, specially when you have a mental processing speed or working memory a little above 70 but whithout reaching 85 but you have a rationing perception or a verbal comprehension between 115 and 130. In those cases you really feel the effect of the nootropics in your Brain and you feel more mental agile, focus and you don’t get so tired after an cognective effort. For a 100 IQ with no more than one standard deviation between IQ components you will hardly notice the effect in the long run no matter how good the nootropic is. That is why are prescribed to dyslexis, adhd or autistic people with good results.

@@icarusdeion Definitely agree! Mine is around 135-140, however I have always experienced quite uneven performance, where I some days have extremely quick processing speed (among other things) and other days not so much. I have found that supplements like creatine help me access my maximum capacity much more frequently when I study or work to massive benefit. Could I ask what supplements you take that have given you such impressive results?

I don't appreciate the framing in the intro. You mention modern medicine is founded upon these holistic approaches but imply that these natural therapies that have been used for centuries is not based in science. the difference is Western medicine wants to create a level of scarcity and block access to these medicines. let's not pretend that they have been "perfected" when we still encounter so many unwanted side effects from everyday pharmaceuticals. Coffee was treated as a "nootropic" for years, stuff of intellectuals
