One morning the last week of August, my mother woke us up and said “pack up your clothes we are moving because we bought a house”. No warning no heads up NOTHING. Back then we didn’t have cell phones or internet. I barely had enough time to tell two neighbors that I was leaving. I never had a chance to say goodbye to any of my friends from school. YES, I was upset and hated it. I was enrolled in a new school, made new friends and experiences. A CLEAN SLATE. Now that I have kids, I understand why my parents did it the way they did and respect it. They wanted better for us. We moved into a beautiful house with a garage and a big yard. Your mother doesn’t want you to struggle like she did. She only wants the best for you and your siblings. You will be ok. You are a very beautiful young lady. Keep your wits about you and concentrate on your learning. Future doctor, lawyer, accountant, engineer….the sky is the limit.
