This song gets harder and harder to listen to every year. I miss the rev so much. I'm so glad you are better now. We all got into this band for our own different reasons. We are a family. I love that you understand the pain and you feel it like we do with the revs passing. God this song hits you like a 10 ton truck. Thank you for showing love to them on your channel. It means a lot from a longtime fan. I saw the rev live and I feel honored. I have a shirt I bought from that day and every time I put it on I can feel the revs drum beats. It's my most valued possession. I also share a birthday with Synyster Gates the guitarist. Fun fact.

We lost the rev around the same time I lost my best friend the whole nightmare album is just so damn sad when you realize every single song on that album ripped every single member apart especially Matt and Brian aka synyster gates. Tonight the world dies and save me are the two saddest songs I’ve ever heard. Thank you so much I’ve been looking every night for more rev reactions or videos and can never find them. Actually this song was written by Synyster Gates , it was going to be about his grandfather, then Jimmy passed ! They (Matt,Syn,Zack,Johnny and Jimmy) were all extremely close , with the 4 (Johnny is the brother of one of their mutual friend's and is a few years younger) Matt,Syn,Zack and Jimmy all being friends since elementary school! Syn and Jimmy were extremely, extremely close as they had the band Pinkly Smooth together before Syn joined A7X as he was not the original lead guitarist! But the entire song was written by Syn !

6:07 to 6:40 really hit home for me. You nailed it on the head. Me personally, I dont think we die just once in this life, we die mutiple times. That person, 10 years ago, isn't the same person now. We go through traumatic situations and going through that forms a new version of ourselves. That old you is gone. I will never be that 18 year old kid again. Feelings, mentality, personally, all changes. The only thing we can do, is move forward. Better ourselves for a better tomorrow.

I'm glad you were able to beat your addictions. Not a lot of people can do that. One thing people seem to forget with the Rev is that it wasn't the drugs that killed him, it was a heart defect he had since birth. you're the only genuine reaction I've found to this masterpiece and actual insight as to what the video is about. thanks for that. I've been in a sad song rabbit hole thinking about my mother who passed away last year in an accident. she loved coming over and bugging me and we would end up watching music videos together and I always chose songs that I know she would like and enjoy with me, especially this song. she lost her father when she was my age (about 29), and she passed away at 54, living almost half of her life without him, taken away too soon. now my brother and I are both grieving daily about losing her, but at least she's not in pain anymore. that's the only thing that helps us cope. I would give anything for my phone to ring and for it say "Mom".
