I'm an introvert, and like you, really need to psyche myself up to socialise and put myself out there (although I'm almost *always* glad when I do). It's funny, because if I saw you out in the wild (having never seen your videos) I would be so intimidated by you: trendy, fashionable and handsome. For the divider wall you could rest some framed artwork or mirror on the floor and against the semi-wall, you could then use them to cover the storage doors and they would be easy to slide around whenever you need access :)

Your wall would look great with invisible book holders, small hanging tapestry or a really nice canvas art piece. Could even do some air plants that don't need soil/pots

call me strange but id put the tv against that short wall with a slim bookcase either side for display itema/plants/books, would be easy to roll if u put small wheels on the bottom of the bookcase, for access to ur storage but would also hide them and the sofa where the dining table is then move the table down the bottom and make a feature out of it with chairs all around it seen as cooking and entertaining is part of yalls lives :) just a thought, love the vlogs

gallery wall with a long, shallow shelf going across where you can place small plants + cute knick-knacks. OR you can lean artwork + small plants/objects against the wall on the shelf (with a lip) if you don't want to make any holes in the wall :)

That wall would be perfect for displaying some of your new records. I picked up some slim acrylic shelves that work perfectly and don’t stick out far. It’s nice being able to swap out records/art to keep it feeling fresh.

interested to see how you'll put the new place together, love that area of town. Your skin is looking real nice Joe, Accutane is a miracle drug. I would look at peel-and-stick wallpaper for the place in question, think monochromatic large-scale pattern or focus on texture like grasscloth, easy to apply and easy to remove... add a thin console table and a couple big pieces of art.

Bunch o' random comments: Jasper was being extra cute in this vlog! Love his sweet demeanor, makes me miss our doggie so much. Haven't been to Vancouver in so many years, but it's such an amazing city. Are you guys on/near Granville? Couldn't tell where that view was from but love the market over there. I think your idea of plants on that wall is the classiest. You could also paint it a different color. Or if you had a friend who was a muralist... Fun idea to do a coffeehouse pop up for friends, I would love to do that. But middle aged ppl in the burbs can't really coordinate something like that, everyone lives spread out and has to plan things weeks in advance. Pros and cons of different life stages... Enjoy this time in the city. Your clothing ensembles/ outfits for events always remind me of something from the 1940s, really debonair. Flipping through all those great 80s artists at the record store, so great! Those were my childhood. 5:36 cake is everything! What was that? Random question: I fell in love with Nanaimo bars years ago in Vancouver. Are they still a thing at all, or a relic of the past? They're so freaking good. Wall suggestions: change the color, and or get a stunning piece of wall art that speaks to you. Hanging plants at the end like lithos would be nice as well and you could run it along the top also instead of it growing down the wall

You could turn the dining table 90 degrees and push it against the center of the wall, and add some wall art above the table to move the eye up. It‘s a different vibe and I‘m not sure it fits that way, but it might be nice :)

Sheesh you're making me homesick. Lived in mt pleasant almost the whole time I've lived in Vancouver. Was there 98 to 2019. Moved to marpole because it was the only top floor place I could afford and I don't feel like I live in a city anymore. Miss my friends, miss great food (really miss Welks, pulp and budgies). Maybe one day I can afford it again but doubtful. Enjoy the strolls and sights for me!
