Thank you all for the feedback and concern, I genuinely appreciate it ❤Just to re emphasize; this is a very temporary tank, I wanted to start small because pea puffers can be finicky eaters especially when young and having a smaller space helps keep tabs on them and engage their eating behaviors, but they're ready for a new tank now :) And I'm preparing a 55 gallon aquarium for them as we speak Love y'all

*READ TO THE END ITS VERY IMPORTANT) les go a upgrade, tho the only thing u should change then are the plecos, they will get absolutely house and bigger than that 3 or 5 gallon tank so i dont think it’ll fit in a 55 gallon either, also make sure not to have too strong filtration in that new tank, yes its a big tank but pea puffers arent really that great at swimming. also make sure to feed them less bc u added wayyyyy too many brine shrimp, anyway good luck with the new tank! i’m sure you’ll be able to pull it off. if u overfeed them SOOOO much ur also gonna ruin the water quality and the snails will overpopulate and ruin the water quality

And what is the excuse for putting the REST of the fish in that tiny tank? My solo Betta has a tank bigger than that thing. Kuhlis need a minimum of 20 gallons as they are very active. Corydoras like the albinos you picked up are schooling fish. They NEED groups of 5+ and tanks 20 gallons plus or they will stress and die. Those guppies are going to get nipped to heck. Also those puffers look absolutely EMACIATED. They need to be dewormed or you will likely lose them. This COULD be an ok temporary tank without literally EVERYTHING ELSE in that tank. There is no excuse to abuse the rest of the fish

@@Spark_Here I noticed that all of these videos uploaded and live streamed by so-called experts in the exotic pet an aquarium Hobby are all Overkill. All of the elaborate setups are for impressing people on the internet. All Aesthetics. Fish, just like reptiles amphibians and invertebrates only respond positively to the simple Basics needed for survival. Most of these Geeks are just showing off. By the way, are pea puffers communal fish or are they solitary like betta and paradise gouramis?
@Spark_Here8 ай бұрын
@@ProgressiveDiscussions While most 'so-called experts' go overboard with things, there is a method to their madness. For example, plants in tanks are very good for the tank because they can remove nitrates from the water column that could hurt your fish. Think of plants as a natural filter. With a decent amount of plants, you can make it so you don’t have to do a water change as often. This is coming from someone who has 10+ years in this hobby. Also, your question about if pea puffers are social is that it all depends on what you are stocking them with and their temperament. Some puffers can be more aggressive than others, and even if they are not as aggressive, they have to be kept with fish that would not see them as a quick meal. So, anything fast-moving and peaceful would be a good choice. I’ve had good experience keeping them with danios, so I recommend them. But if you are just starting out with puffers, a species-only tank would be the best option for you. And it’s best to give each puffer 3 gallons, so a tank that’s like 15 gallons you could keep 5. Hope this helps!!!

Nice job I own a pea puffer as well and there really cute but the tank is really small and a lot of the animals can't co-exist, and the large sum of food could cause an ammonia spike as well. and six kuhli loaches need at least 20 gal for 6 alone. and the pleco's grows massive average pleco needs tons of space. one pea puffer needs at least five gal and 3 gal for each extra one because they can be territorial. The dwarf frog and other fish could possibly get bullied by the pea puffer as-well. and the tank needs alot more plants so the fish feel safe. and Cody catfish feel safer in a group of 6. The crayfish could potentially attack others in the tank and needs to be separated. With about a 20 gall just for those fish is not enough for them and overstocked. LOVE YOUR VIDS THO!! EDIT: I have just realized you said you would remove the plecos.

I think the best way in a freshwater tank to deal with algae is using a lot of plants. Otherwise it can really get out hand and you might get some more unwanted algae that most fish aren't interested in. On the plus side having a lot of plants helps with oxygen and keeping the water clean.
@littlewigglemonster769111 ай бұрын

did you know that in Danish the Yellow Box pufferfish is called the spottet suitcasefish, normally in danish pufferfish are called ballfish, but sinse this one is more box shaped we choose suitcase insead of well box or square wich would have both been more on theme as some would argue that a box is a shape, but it isn't it's an object and boxes come in all sorts of shapes. You might also have noticed that for some reason the Danish languege decided to focus on the fishes black spots rather than their bright yellow color. There could be a couple of reasons for this, the first one being that another yellow pufferfish species exists, but they aren't as spottet (meaning they do have black spots aswell, but not as many. Not that they aren't seen as often), the second reason could be that we looked at it and thought yellow pufferfish was to obvious a name, so we went for the black spots wich are a quite pretty feature of the fish. The third and most boring option is that it was discovered and named before we started printing/drawing in color, meaning that the danish guy who was shown a picture or drawing of the pufferfish wouldn't have ben able to tell that it was yellow, but could tell that it had spots. Ofc the 4th option is most people who name shit don't give a fuck. Like butterfly, it's not made of butter, but it does fly, though it is not a fly and in danish it's called a sommerfugl or summerbird, wich again isn't a bird, but they do come out in summer exept for the places where it's hot enough for there to butterflies year round, thank H.C. Andersen for this danish word that makes almost as little sense as the english equvilant

I don't know about these puffers, but my experience with pufferfish is that they are incredibly intelligent. Many years ago I had the food concession for the DejaVu nightclub in Atlantic City NJ and it had a saltwater tank mount in the wall of the downstairs front bar. The oblong bar must have been at least 25-30 feet long and the wall with the tank was at one end of the bar. In it was a cute yellow pufferfish. I started feeding the puffer sone chopped up shrimp, which it loved. And I was surprised that it recognized me when I came anywhere near the tank: It would go crazy, swimming back and forth, wagging its tail like a puppy. Now, you have to realize that we're talking about a scenario where there could be 50 or more people around the bar, coming & going, and the fish in the tank would often be looking out thru the glass of the tanks, just hanging there in one place. Yet, when I came anywhere near the tank that puffer would go crazy, knowing I had a treat for it. None of the other fish species in the tank did that. It was astounding: Even if I was more than halfway down the bar, this little guy would pick me out of the crowd of patrons and go nuts! It wasn't until I was beyond the other end of the bar, probably close to 40' from the tank that I could blend in with the crowd without that little puffer noticing me. Has anyone else had this experience? I can tell you that, if I ever get a saltwater tank, the first fish I get for it would be a puffer like that!

the tank is horrendous, overstocked, crayfish prob gonna kill of the whole tank from murder or from the sheer waste it produces. not to mention the flow of that sump filter is going to make some fish lose some energy and get killed off
@philseiberling993310 ай бұрын
@@ThatOneCoolPufferfishhe said he would upgrade bigger tank, just listen to the video, also that crayfish is a dwarf crayfish they are not hostile to fish really in fact they don’t even attack shrimp (I think). If u dint believe me I’m getting one soon and I’ll put a rosy in there to test.
