Man i Will give you a tip. If you start a new run, and select the randomizer options, select the "only custom sprites", the vídeo Will have much more cool fusions. And i dont now If you know, but the green sprites are custom, so is better to choose them. Good vídeo!

I’m pretty sure the reason that Metnair would have stayed dragon/steel is that they made changes to specific Pokémon so that they keep a specific type when they fuse. So Dragonite always gives the dragon type, the kanto starters always give grass/water/fire, etc. There’s a wiki for Pokémon infinite fusions that explains some of the rule changes and the fusion type stuff

Great video! My only suggestion would be to keep catching encounters until you get a pairing that has a custom sprite, since that is the best part of the game.

In my own randomized run I got a shiny ninetails in Mt Moon :) I thought they decreased the odds, but apparently I just got very lucky

When you do like 20 quests in the Hotels you could get a miststone witch evolves one of your Fusion halfes so vou can get a lv 2 volcarona or a lv 50 hydreigon and dont have to Level up that much

For why Metnair keeps its Dragon type after evolving its Dragonair half is that some Pokémon have types pre-set for fusions, so they always give that type even if they wouldn't otherwise. Dragonite is always Dragon for the fusion, Charizard is always Fire, all Normal/Flying types always give Flying. I think there is a list somewhere of which ones are like this.

Solo type fusions, you can only fuse a dragon with a dragon, fire with fire etc.
