I don't remember when I did, I'm from a huge Italian family so I heard nothing but swear words all the time. My daughter however was 2, she said " firefuck" lolol instead of firetruck but she didn't know any better. I just couldn't stop laughing so she kept saying it.

I can remember my first times cursing(well it might no have been my first time but first I can remember). But anyways I'm 5 or 6 and I have absolutely NO IDEA where I would've heard this shit at that age but my neighbor came to my house to see my mom one day. My neighbor Jewel was like the sweetest old lady in the entire world and she was the closest thing to a grandma that I ever had(my mom turned 40 one month after she gave birth for her final time to twins...me and my sister) cause only one of my grandparents were still alive by the time I was born and she died when I was 10 months old so I have zero memories of them. Anyways, Jewel came in the house and was walking down the hallway to mom's bedroom, and I loved Jewel by the way lol, but she spoke to me and when I greeted her back I said "Hey cocksucker!" 😁😁 With the biggest smile on my face cause I didn't know any better! Jewel had such a look of shock on her face but she giggled. Within 3 seconds my mom snatched me up and whooped the piss outta me!!! Then immediately had me at the bathroom sink and crammed a bar of soap in my mouth!! My mom DID NOT fuck around when it came to discipline lol

First time I swore it was on accident and unintentional. When I first started out in school, they gave us pieces of paper in the form of train cars with words on them. You were supposed to put the words/train cars in order to make a sentence. And it was of the time where they would say to sound out the letters to figure out how to say the words. I was trying to sound out the letters for 'AS'. So here I was, a little kid saying 'aaaa' 'ssss'. All of a sudden, my older sister says, "oooh, you said a bad word. I'm gonna tell mom what you said". I got so upset cuz I didn't understand what I was about to get in trouble for.

I don't rememebr the first time I swore but the first time I got in trouble for singing an inappropriate song. I sang Nelly's hot in here because it was on the radio and my bros were all 6+ years older than me, so THEY could listen to it 😂

I’ve always had a 🚽 mouth. In middle school I wrote the lyrics of Too $hort’s “Cusswords” on my book covers and got suspended for two days. No regrets. Still love that song.

when I was around 4 or 5yrs old, we used to live in an apartment bldg where my Uncle Nafe (pronounced NAH-feh) was the handiman. When my mom had to go to work, I'd hang out w/ him for 4 to 6hrs (the late 70s were a different time) while he was doing his rounds. Sometimes, he'd curse out of frustration and scream out "SH*T!". But, he had the thickest Tongan accent, and in our language, we don't have the "sh" sound, so he'd end up saying it like "SIT"... but, in my naivete, I didn't know he was cursing, so anytime he'd yell "SIT" I'd literally look at him in confusion, and then sit down...

Ahhh yes all of us Gen-X'rs/older millennials (Xennials) were latch-key kids!!! Explored life majority of the time by yourself and your peers. Parents were all working 2 jobs, so gone most of the day. We learned through interaction with our peers and navigated our lives . Of course we cursed like crazy, we spent more time around our peers and by ourselves, or siblings. We heard, we spread those words, and then blurt it out one day front of ur parent(s). AND OHHHHH SHIT!! HERE WE GO AGAIN!! LOL. We all got whipped and smacked or spanked, and we took it however severe it was, let out some tears when young, and as we got older, became numb to it slowly to the point where didnt phase you, except anger you. And then finally just stops on day. Years of that shit, conditioned us to be tough, and independent. Imagine if that happened these days with the current generation???? Bahahaha. Oh damn.

I remember it was at least before or at the beginning of kindergarten, I used to always say what word I learned to my mom and I heard my sister say "fuck". I ran up to my mom and said "hey mom, fuck! Fuck!" And she beat tf outta me without even telling me it was wrong. She didn't even question where I learned it from and went straight to throwing hands, I never caught a beating this bad when I was older but she turned super saiyan that day. She grounded me in the bedroom for the whole day after like wtf I wasn't even old enough to know what what a bad word was 💀

The funny thing about "don't use gods name in vain" is that, it's not about saying "oh my god" its justifying your abuse/hatred/etc with saying "God said so." that is using gods name in vain. I can see that "God dammit" argument because it's like a verbal curse (literal curse, not a swear word) but the context of God's name in vain is using scripture to justify your bad actions
