it seems sort of parallel to my "art student" aesthetic, but that one feels by default a bit more modern rather than the sort of early-1900s origins of dark (and other) academia aesthetics. it does allow for lots of weird things and loads of colour though so I love it for that.

I love how you fit the outfits to your style but still focus on going outside your comfort zone in one way or another every time, it's a great balance that makes it way more entertaining, but it also is way better way to bring across the message of 'be yourself'. When watch your videos I never think 'I need to do this the exact same way' but I always feel so inspired and that I've been able to share in some of your insights, like we're girlfriends and we just had a shopping session. I think you're right about the black outfit. Monochromatic looks are mostly good when they're good quality. Not necessarily expensive, but just well-made or just certain type of materials. A lot of synthetics just don't look good in monochromatic outfits.

I showed my husband the Day 2 look and he was like, "well clearly that's your favorite," however it's tied with the black formal dress, that was stunning. Thank you for this inspiring video. The thigh high boots looked awesome on you, but I agree with you that the quality of the materials and cut make a big difference, particularly for simple outfits like the last one.
