I bought an inexpensive phone for a homeless guy a year ago. I told him to meet me at the same McDonald's we met at every month of a day his service runs out and I would re-up for him. He did that for 4 months and on the fifth month he met me there and told me it wasn't necessary anymore that he had gotten a job and he was able to move in with someone in their apartment because he was able to help pay rent. He told me he wouldn't have gotten the job without the phone. It just made me feel so happy. Knate You are an absolute godsend! Love you!

I saw two homeless people outside the gas station the other day. I had $4 cash, and I gave that to them. It’s hot as f*** outside in Florida right now, and I noticed they had an empty cooler. I walked over and got them ice, a case of waters, and two pizzas from the gas station. Before I even walked all the way over they were so excited they were in tears. I started crying on the drive home thinking how hard it is outside, I’ve been homeless on these same streets. That’s my rant, but I just wanna say I really appreciate what you’re doing, it’s inspiring.

Are you younger? I was born in '85 and payphones were a big thing before cell phones. They started getting rid of them before cell phones were more popular and it made life difficult for anyone who couldn't afford a cell phone or didn't want one. I would see homeless people, or those who truly seemed homeless, using payphones all the time as a kid. It's crazy how certain things are just "normal" for different generations and abnormal for others. So much has changed in the 40 years I've been alive that it makes sense why my grandparents were always complaining about how too much has changed.

I felt that too or maybe that life can feel so demeaning to some that they're ashamed or embarrassed. I was a teenage girl homeless in the 80's & slept in clothes recycling metal boxes, but my silly pride was hurt when people would see me exiting my 'bed' whenever I got out. Anyway, many kind people offered me a hand, but I was just so embarrassed that I tried to act like I didn't need any help, thing is I needed lots of help & kindness.

@hannakinn5 ай бұрын
@@MalloryKnox-gh7uxsome of the most externally beautiful people I've know have wound up having crappy lives, people often only value them for what they have superficially, they attract attention from crappy human beings and are targets for people who victimize them. As really good looking people age and their looks fade it is hard for them, especially if they were the type person that used their looks as their meal ticket to get through life. Some never developed much of themself beyond being the beautiful girl or the handsome guy. Many seem sort of stuck at the age and maturity level they were at in their teens or 20s. I think external beauty can be difficult in ways most of us don't think about. I have also noticed when really attractive people complain people are like..OK whatever boo hoo hoo, you're beautiful, it can't be that bad, look at yourself, etc.. As if external beauty is this valuable thing that solves everything. I have wondered in the past if humans would be better if we all had the same identical face but humans being what we are we'd find something else to judge.

No one would help me except CAAW and a friend from the piute tribe. They put me up for a week until i got my SSI check ($745 not enough for a bug in fested motel) and got me safely (ex was stalking me) to the airport and finally to my daughter in ohio. Even my so called sister turned her backs cuz i no longer had $ and nothing left to steal for drugs. I now have PTSD and night terrors. You are the best thing out there for those living on the street! Looks like a fella may take you up on rehab, just needs a little more time. Thank you for getting the fella home, he was very emotional about his life on the streets. God bless you Knate! Love you man!

ALOHA is what your all about. Helping those with minimum needs, and it won't break your bank. ( I think this is something a basic person can do, even just once for someone is great. I wish everyone would help a person in need,, in Hawaii our situation is not being addressed and it gets worst every year.. I do what I can. KEEP UP THE GREATNESS! MAHALO.
