Hey I’m a current sephora employee (manager actually) & our return policy very recently updated ! We will accept anything that is gently used (even lashes) for ur money back within 30 days & anything from 31-60 days can be exchanged or goes on a store credit! After 60 days we are no longer accepting returns !!

I've asked for samples at checkout and they do give them. Sometimes they are premade samples, like primers or creams, and sometimes they are the regular samples, like you'd get for free shopping at Sephora online.

xiurong zhang Sephora does give samples to the clients that come in and purchase items! Sadly some may not get any because there are so many people that come in. Typically you will get 2-3 samples at the cash register. :)

I’m a Sephora employee !!! Sephora only allows THREE samples per client. And about the premade samples at the register, it’s true, sometimes we really don’t have any lol but when we do, I always pop some in the bag without even asking !:)

Darling Xiomara it’s great! Especially if you want to try an expensive item. Get a sample. AND! if you have a couple Sephora’s around you. Get the same brand, another sample.

I remember when my sister and I went to Sephora once (at least 15 years ago), one of the employees was telling us about how we could get samples of anything we just had to ask and we asked her about getting a sample of some eyeshadow primer and she was like "oh sure, just ask for whatever you want samples of.", so we asked her again and at least 1 or 2 more times and she never did it. 😂 She just kept telling us we could get samples if we asked for them. And yeah, she was blonde. 🤷‍♀️😂 So it definitely varies by store if they will do some of these things.

I asked for a sample of a moisturizer once. They told me the only way I could get a sample was to buy the product and they would make me a sample of. I was then supposed to go home and use the sample and return the item if I didn’t like the sample 🤣 Never went back to that Sephora again

Omg love this series since I work at Sephora!!! YESSSSS to the free shipping I like to tell everyone about it! Especially if they love the ordinary or Sephora collection because unless you’re a rouge you have to pay for shipping on orders less then $35 dollars (rouge get free 3 day shipping on anything). Here in Massachusetts we are doing a pilot program where you have to pay for the services themselves unless it’s a mini brow, lip, or foundation, or mini facial but they can’t seat you for those but any other states you can do those but don’t abuse that system in one day at one store because they will remember you. I work in the fragrance department which I love but there are some people that come in groups and want 3 samples each which kinda sucks because each vial takes about a minute each to fill and label. The pre-made samples are not always sent to us they are literally sent randomly so sometimes we won’t have at the cash wrap but don’t ever be afraid to ask. (ALSO if you guys love Sephora and love to learn on their website and app we have a category called happening at Sephora where you can sign up for free makeup classes and rsvp for brand events they are having! Not all Sephora’s have classes but usually the biggest one in that district definitely should)

I used to work at Sephora. Regarding the pre made samples, sometimes we would have tonnes of them from different brands especially around Oct/Nov but then sometimes wouldn’t have them for months.

Hey Mar, if you get the Walmart app and if you find something cheaper online they can compare prices in store ☺️ for example Nyx makeup is cheaper online then paying $13.97 for a primer, they can compare it to the price that’s on the app for about $4

In germany you always get (depending on the amount you ordered) free samples. I once bought a lot of fenty at sephora and i bought a lot and I got so many perfume samples and like a matching concealer sample for the foundation i bought.
