Girl don’t be embarrassed, no one thought it was crazy! We have people try to return everything and I mean EVERYTHING! Also if an item is over the 60days but it wasn’t used sometimes we will still exchange it or give you store credit! Hope this helps, xoxo💞

So how you apply to Ulta is go on the Ulta website and go to careers then it should give you the stores closest to your location you enter then it will have all the positions available! @@natisplays1044 omg girlll i can tell you so many stories... i went OFF on ALL of them because they were caught talking about customers that werent "dressed to their standards" and to "watch" them bc of that... i heard it all and called them all out... then went and spent a good amount of money at another store which is their competition and dolled up and took receipt and reminded them of the basket that I had there full to the brim, but after hearing them I left it ALL and went somewhere else....

Courtney Wilson as long as their is half of the candle they will switch it out for a different scent. They used to do it with the candle burned all the way down but ppl took advantange of it. They also do it with sorays and lotions!

I work at ulta and when people come in for their birthday gift and they don’t have the coupon we just make sure their birthday is correct on the account and we still give it to them!

The policy is to not give it to them. If the email or birthday is wrong fix it and give them the customer service number so they can send another one lmao

Tess Palmer You are correct on that and they also won’t inform you if you have a reward available. At least sephora will send you an email and inform you of your rewards! Ulta just hopes you will forget so your reward will expire and they make more money from you 🙄

Vee Plopez That’s actually not the case. Your private information like your address, birthday, etc is on the same page as your points so we don’t look into that unless you ask us to for privacy reasons!

I didn’t get my birthday gift this year and I was SO salty about it! I reached out to ulta via Facebook messenger and they verified my account and sent me the coupon codes to present to the cashier in store!

Hi ulta employee here, so we send out a coupon with the birthday gift and if you dont present it then you will be charged for the gift. Also, when we pull up your account we cant see how many points you have unless we actively go looking for them so we just wait until you ask especially since the app will tell you

Tess Palmer if you call guest services because you did not receive a birthday coupon they will send you one! I have never had problems with guest not getting a birthday gift once they call. Also at Ulta points can be redeemed for $$$ off of your purchase, you can easily ask how many points you have and what they redeem to! Ulta also sends emails about points, and if you get the app you can get bonus points, coupons (which are also sent to email and mailing address)

Don’t be embarrassed returning things ! Most employees will be very happy to return most things for you as long as they are 60 full still but they do need managers to accept the return sometimes on the computers because it asks for their authorization because cashiers have no say in anything at all 🙂

Make sure all your information is correct in the system because if you signed up but didn’t want to give them your email or address then they have no way to get you your birthday gift coupons and other great coupons 🙂

I dont shop at Ulta much but yesterday I went there and my newborn decided he was starving so I fed him as I walked around. I got dirty looks for 5mins until the manager came up to me and asked if I wanted her to put s chair in the back corner so I could sit because some of her employees felt uncomfortable. I was mad. You couldn't see a single thing. I've nursed at Sephora and was treated the same as if I had no baby. Just my experience with Ulta

Michele Flores they give no samples at all. So if you wanted to try skin care or foundation you are out of luck! It’s best to do to Sephora who will give you a sample or a department store.

What's the point in a birthday gift if you're trying to come before or after your bday and it says that plan as day on the email they send you. There is an EXPIRATION DATE. There are specific rules that everybody has to follow including YOU. Nobody cares about you being mad, when we have rules to follow.

I shop at ulta and i returned some Kylie kits after months of having them just sitting there because i only used them like once. The girls told me that it doesn’t matter when or how much was used, if at any point was unsatisfied that i could return them. I guess its just what ulta you go to.

As an Ex Ulta Employee I’m cringing so hard 😂 I really wish you would’ve raided them ! In reality though, finessing anything at Ulta is tough, everything is clearly and strictly regulated within the company. If they catch you do anything different you will receive corrective actions.

i work at ulta and for the birthday gifts, we have to have the coupon cause we have to scan it out for inventory. the coupon is for it making it free to zero it out and it does have to be in your birthday month🤠

Employees are there for customer service, but some customers get annoyed when always asked of they need help. So that may cause staff to wait for customer to begin conversation/ asking for help.

Um me and my sister made friends with one of the employees at our local store here in Fremont, Cali (she doesn't work there anymore) but she definitely gave us samples and samples were available for everyone who got their makeup done. They don't do it anymore unfortunately and idk if it was just a special promo or something but yea. I love Ulta especially because they sell Philosophy and the entire Clarasonic line which is my skincare brush go to. Also they do hair and have skincare services and treatments along with regular drug store brands 💕 the Sephora we have at the same shopping area is a tiny boutique Sephora so they hardly have any of my fave brands plus they're ALWAYS out of stock of my favorite products. The closest full size one is another 30-40 out.
