Hi. Thank you! This really simplified putting these drawers together. My only issue was my bottom piece did not fit properly. That said it threw the rest of the pieces out of alignment. I 👀 kept going not realizing that those white plastic cap screws cannot be removed without damaging them. Had I realized that I would have stopped in my tracks! Now I'm trying to get the bottom piece in correctly with the side boards already in place.🤯 I think I received a damaged bottom piece.🤦‍♀️ Your tutorial was very helpful regardless.

The long piece that covered the rail mechanism? No idea what it's called. It's been a couple years since we did this and Ikea might have changed what's packaged. But it was something that was part of what was in the box. Hope this helps

Great video but I'm struggling with that small metal bar and the plastic lock. I fit the drawers in to the rails and they sit nice and flush but when I put those bars in I can't seem to get them to quite sit level. Any ideas?

Only thing to check is that metal bar. It has a little bump in the middle. That bump goes into the drawer, not out. Hope this helps

Hey - thanks for your question! In this video, we focused on the assembly of the drawers, not the installation of them. If you have an IKEA wardrobe, the holes should be pre-drilled in it, making installing the rails and drawers a breeze. Is it weird that I have never owned an Ikea item at all? In all fairness I’ve never lived that close to one lol great instructions though, I have trouble reading most instructions for stuff like this.

It’s not weird - their shipping isn’t the best, so proximity to one is prob how most people shop. But yeah - IKEA instructions are notorious for being hard to understand - no words, just pictures. 🙃

IKEA is good for only a few things & one of them is some designs you copy & make from real wood lol

Ha. That’s not untrue. BUT, they do have some things made out of real wood these days. We decided to use these drawers in our wooden printer and Cricut cart builds, as it was quicker and more cost efficient than building the drawers ourselves and buying soft close rails separately. 😉
