I'm glad I was able to help! I cribbed a few house-rules from the Korg Discord server to make things a lot more streamlined (read: I played on easy mode 😜), but it tends to make a run a lot more survivable.

I just got this game. Brutal but fun. Nice GM commentary. Question what size of pencil do you use? .5 .7 or .9? Just curious as Amazon has a special on these.

@Codog2009 Thanks for stopping by, and I'm glad you're having fun! I use a .5mm lead in my pencils, and I think it's F (close to a #3 H lead) rather than the usual HB (#2). It's easier to erase on a TTRPG sheet or cash register countdown. That said, don't let my preferences sway you from getting the kind you like. 🙂

Would you recommend the pdf over the cards?

I like the cards for their portability, but the PDF format has some extra content and optional rules, which are great. If you just want the bare-bones version of how I played, then the physical cards are fine, but Caleb did a bang-up job of laying out the PDF and fleshing out the game that extra bit more.

Haha, yeah, most of my sessions are brutally short even with the "easy mode" rules I use. It and its "sibling" like rolling high for encounters and low for fights. Good thing I have a bunch of other dice!
