You can use the quick-play spell to XYZ summon the big guy that needs 2 rank 7s on your opponent's turn as an interrupt. I was wondering what the point of the babies bringing back the rank 7s without Xyz materials was, but I realized they make making the big rank 7 really easy. Also, I feel like the deck has crazy grind game now.

The ability to just out banished guys back into grave really makes them grindy, using the Bystials means you just get to banish the big XYZ guys for interruption and then bring them back with the spell, funny stuff

Chasmatis is absolutely bonkers. The wind Dragon Ruler discard effect is to search any Dragon Monster from deck, so Chasmatis is a crazy strong on your turn considering that you should have your normal summon left. One of the silliest search options is Light and Darkness Dragon, which Dragon Rulers the can support the tribute fodder for, and 4 negates is as strong as ever. I don't think the other cards are going played other than the Dark XYZ. Rulers have serious serious competitive potential just with addition of Chasmatis. Its just hard to tell how good they will be however, their are just way too many options and build paths to consider.

Red-Eyes Black Dragon cards got a huge buff with this. Also, Kashtira cards can make all of this good as well. The new baby dragons for the light and dark dragons can honestly be the only baby dragons you could main deck and be fine without the other ones with how good their effects are. Overall, I think Dragon Rulers are finally back in power. Red-Eyes Meteor Dragon and Kashtira Birth are going to be really good for their respective decks that really supports the Dragon Rulers.

If pure, it probably wouldn't even be tiered. If combined with other engines, it could possibly hit Rogue tier. Don't get me wrong, these cards are very good, but you gotta look at the meta decks we have nowadays. It's full of decks with a bunch of low-cost, low-invesment 1-card starters and free extenders that play through a ton of disruptions and set up very oppressive boards. It'll be very hard for a 2013 deck to compete with that, even with very good support like this.

The deck finally has an end board they can make without relying on tuners. For a while the best board this deck could make was Spheres and Baron. Then Baron got banned, justifiably so. Now the deck, and Red-Eyes too actually, can get a bounce, 2 pops and a s/t negate on your opponent’s turn. The quick-play spell also makes set s/t cards extremely scary since any one of them can be a board wipe after they grind through the 4 main interruptions.

Tempest is a generic Dragon Searcher with its discard effect, so Poles becomes a searcher too. And yeah, Disaster may look weird with its effect requirements but the new cards focus on giving Dragon Rulers a lot more grind and follow-up that'd make its effects feel more sensical going first. It's honestly really good payoff considering how the new support not only improves the consistency and recursion of the Deck by a lot, but it also looks like it feels good to play

If you get a baby, you discard baby + lvl 7 to summon one, then banish two babies for the discarded 7, make the LIGHT rank 7 Ruler, detach the one summoned by baby effect to send Tempest and add a Dragon, then you can summon Tempest from GY. This ends on an additional pop from the Xyz, and a potential Bystial setup if you already had Dragonmaid access.

The simplest way to get there with Spector, in a deck with as few Rulers as possible, is to search Tempest + Blaster then summon one banishing the other and searching Parlor/Kitchen with the banished eff. Then you do Dragonmaid combo and link the Ruler on field with Chamber to make Seals. If you're willing to play a lot of rulers, you can search Burner + Redox, use Burner to summon Blaster, summon Redox from grave banishing two babies and Xyz summon the LIGHT Ruler, using its effect detaching Blaster to dump Tempest to search Lubellion. Discard Lubellion for Magna, summon Blaster/Tempest banishing the other and adding Parlor/Kitchen with the banish effect. This way you get Magna + a pop in addition to the low requirement combo.

For what is worth, this support does give the deck something to do in it's purest form, which honestly, I like a bit. It was a bit of a shame that Dragon Rulers were good for nothing in todays game, but they are still weak. By thinking in the previous combo example, for a simple board it has a lot of choke points, very weak to Ash, plays into Nibiru and doesn't have a good answer to it, weak to Belle, weak to the Dominus traps, but i don't know about Shifter. And I feel like they went into gimmicks too fast, while I find funny the "Disaster cards", I feel like the spell should've been a searcher for the babies, I read Specter and I feel like it's too important to have it in your hand so you don't neg too much trying to play and only having 3 copies of it is a problem (Not a big dragon fan, so I don't know if there's a way to search it besides convoluted Spright combos).
