The Gem knight searcher is high key a lvl 4 extender and a crazy one at that, In Rayzeol It could go pretty crazy, it’s like the spirits but you can pitch it to put two bodies on board, pretty good. Save your normal for Ice or the afford mentioned spirit

I’m praying Gem Knight support is legit here, I tinkered with a Vernusylph combo build a couple years ago and the deck has some solid potential I think, it just had nothing to actually end on. The engine itself is pretty sick though, pitching Lazuli and Obsidian for Vernusylph costs’ (not-OPT) kind of goes hard. Edit: these cards seems fucking crazy???? The main decks not being Earth kind of sucks for the Vernusylph build (but idk if it even really matters, one is a free extra normal and the other is a negate in the GY)

It has to be Nekroz and I'm only guessing that because Gishki Avance I think is the same guy in a bunch of Nekroz cards (Unicore, Valkyrus, Great Sorcerer of Nekroz) but in different ages. Unicore is the younger one and Valkyrus is a more adult version and the guy on this packaging's art seems to be in between kind of like a late teen/young adult so it would make sense for him to be a Nekroz version of him in that age group along with Emelia.

So the new fusion lets you use the subtheme that aren't knights like armadillo, master diamond dispertion feels like a straight up replacement for lady brilliant diamond. What Gem-knights need is a s/t searcher or a way to place the traps onto the field from deck or grave.

The do have a Fusion thats a non-once per turn Compulse when sent to GY, so if maybe they have a way to send them to GY during the opponent's turn that could be interesting. It needs to be sent from field, but you can Summon 3 of it wth the new Fusion. Is a When effect, but is mandatory, so it doesn't miss timing if uses as Fusion Material. Idk if they have a way to Fusion on the opponent's turn tho

Okay so I looked it up. The new fusion wants you to summon lady rose diamond which is a once per turn effect destruction protection + a quick effect pop, then the other two depend on if you're going first or second. The two earth/aqua fusions have removal effects when they're sent to the graveyard (a bounce 1 or a giant trunade), whereas the pyros are battle oriented and the thunders are non-quick effect removals. But if you're going first one of those cheated out will 100% be seraphenite which is an extra normal for anything.

I think the new Fusion wants to summon the OG Gem-Knights including Seraphinite, not the modern Fusion that is designed around the anime. Lady Rose Diamond also being a candidate for the Fusion because of a coincidental connection to Yuzu and Melodious is a bonus.

As a gem-knight player. I do like all of these cards, except for the new fusion. Gem-knight has a the problem of not having in archetype endboard pieces for going first. I was using some other engines to get access to nat beast and ending on some generic ED bosses like appo in the past. the fusion lock means I cant make any link plays after and its requirements make it so that you should probably be using the gem-knight link to summon him. without any Disruption fusion monsters, he isn't too good yet.

After some testing. The fusion lock makes the card just feel really bad. If there was going to be a lock, it should have been a gem-knight lock so that you could make phantom quartz after summoning Amathyst and Aquamarine. Wasted potential.

It’s funny to see that this new support now gives Gem-Knights at least a one-card Omni-Negate and they have 12 starters for it. I’ll use Gem-Armadillo since it’s the cutest, but you can do this with Crystal Rose, Nepyrim, and Dispersion. 1. Normal Armadillo and search Voidroots 2. Voidroots effect to send Gem-Knight Fusion form deck and summon it 3. Link summon into Phantom Quartz and use its effect to search for Dispersion 4. Activate Dispersion sending Quartz and then Nepyrim and another Gem-Knight to summon Master Diamond Dispersion and there’s the negate. It’s not even accounting for the fact that you’re getting a search with Nepyrim in certain lines after so the deck could build on this with more generic links. A cute trick to consider as well is to try and make I:P before using Diamond Dispersion’s effect and then using it after. On your opponent’s turn, and I:p can go into even just an S:P and you still have an Omni-Negate they have to play through.

What would be really interesting is if the last archetype was both Nekroz AND Gishki because they pulled a Mermail/Atlantean support from ROTA on us with these two archetypes that, like Ice Barrier and Gishki, have cards that cross over (for those who don't know, Gishki Noellia is Revealer and Gishki Natalia, the random gishki spirit monster, is Judge. Ice Barriers also have a random spirit monster, and I think it would be funny if we get a random Nekroz Spirit monster too) The only question I have for the possible Nekroz support is will we finally got the forbidden Nekroz trap?

Keep in mind Folks, while I understand that these new Cards may not make Gem Knights Meta, as someone who has played this Game since its Early Years, I’m the type of Duelist of prefers to look at the more Fun and Casual Aspects of the Game. That being said, I like these new Cards! Gem Knights was always a Neat looking Deck in my opinion, and these Cardsonky add to the Deck’s effectiveness! True, it severely limits the Deck’s ability to just Burn the opponent, but it gives Gem Knights a Strong alternative! Furthermore, this Deck can use Super-Poly to a lesser extent, and abuse Powerful Fusion Spells to make their Bosses even more Nasty! Imagine adding Double Fusion to this Deck after all the released, or even Summoning Master Diamond or Brilliant Lady Diamond with Greater Polymerization!

I don't like the new support, its too main deck focussed while I think the deck needed more attention to the extra deck. Main deck was fine, but they have no good pay off in the extra deck. They needed a revamp of their gameplan so that people would be more inclined to play the newer strategy over the FTK one. They now said, combo off till your hearts content, but at the cost of half effect damage as a means to stop FTKs, but we're still left with no alternative gameplan. I hope that if there are more gem knight cards revealed they are all fusion monsters, and at least a bit decent. This is not it unfortunately.
