I can attest that he did not tell a lie. A girl I wanted to linkup with back in early 2000s lived in blake court, i arrived and saw the building full 15-20 of the mandem on bikes, sittin on the wall, smoking etc at the entrance. Lets just say that linkup got cancelled asap - i took a u turn because i was not trying to walk through these man😂

What's gonna happen is these all these people will eventually be priced out. As the development in South Kilburn is rapid. I know, believe me. I used to live on Malvern Road long before his generation was even born.

Damn, so much nostalgia here. I used to live at Dickens house. Me and my bro were playin goldeneye 64 at night and we suddenly heard a loud BANG outside; it was around november so we thought it was fireworks until hella police and ambulance showed up. We realized someone had just been M'd on the staircase of the building, the blood was still there the next day. This was around 2000. Also summertime was extremely active, i hated coming from school having to walk through an army of 20-30 man just to get into the building - i was a regular face so they didnt trouble me but damn, SK was truly one the pits of hell and those who are new to the area have noooo clue how demonic it used to be 😂. Now as strange as it sounds I miss these days because even though alot of bad stuff used to happen; the place had character that you'll never see again, anyway, thanks for posting this and bringing back memories

I feel old. I was born in South Kilburn in a basement in Kilburn Park Road in 1960. Went to the OK club when it was GOOD. Lived in Exeter Court opposite Granville Road Swimming Baths from 67 to 74. My parents were Irish immigrants. I recognise all the Road names and some of the blocks but many were after my time. I loved South Kilburn and it remains in my heart as my birthplace. I could tell so so many stories.
