I made this! I used the three egg recipe. Thank you for sharing, it was delicous. I didn't have a small chiffon cake pan so I used two regular 7" pans instead. I used two so that the layers are not too thick and heavy that it would fall while baking. Also, the layers wont rise above the rim so it's okay to turn them upside down while cooling.

Hello, I've been trying to make a decent chiffon cake for a while now, your recipe is the closest I've come to "success", but not quite yet... I followed the 5 egg recipe for an 8inch pan, but I used a normal pan (not a tube one, but still aluminum of course), and put it in the oven for the specified amount of time (35-40mins on 170c), and the result was the bottom half of the cake was perfecty fluffy and airy, but the top half was what seemed to be an "undercooked cake".... so I'm guessing I have to adjust the temp\time ratio since I didn't use the "proper" pan for a chiffon cake, so like, keep it in the oven for more time and less heat, because the color was just fine this time, so I assume if I keep it in there just for more time, it'd burn.... And so if it's not too much trouble in me asking, could you (or anyone at this point really😩) perhaps point me to how would I be able to fix this?

Thanks Nami san for great recipes I got some questions please Iam really appreciating your effort and hard work can I ever do Chiffon Cake with less eggs? like a small Chiffon cake since Iam bignner in baking but I want to try... your Match Chiffon cake was my first ever trial in baking cake and it was in Ricecooker in cake mood at that time it's about tow months ago I was satisfied with result 🤓 but now I have a small oven so I level up my expectations. And the other Question is... Can I make it without this specific aluminium removable baking pan? Actually I have only granite pan 😖 or may be saramic bowl I can settle in good results if possible yours is so far so perfect so...it's my far big goal I think...🤔

I was wondering if you can clarify the sugar for this recipe. On the video it shows 1/3 cup of sugar and on the written recipe it has 2/3 cup. I thought 2/3 was a lot for each the wet and dry. Is this correct? Thank you.

i can apprecraite the skill in making this cake but for me looks a little posh :D [winks] i prefer mine alittle like the old suet puddings we have back in england which are great for this current cold weather....do the japanese have a similar take on puddings that are good for cold weather?

I have never seen someone "fold" with a whisk. Dose it add more air when doing this method?

This is not my own method but I learned from a patisserie doing this explaining that a whisk can fold in meringue better than a spatula. I tried it and also believe it blends in faster without breaking the air bubbles so I have been using a whisk since then! You still have to gently fold not whisking motion though. ☺️
