The orange Bulova would be my pick. As I type this, I am wearing my 1949 Omega stainless Seamaster, which has been mine for about 45 years now. It doesn`t get worn every day but has been on my wrist for the last few weeks. Runs just fine, and for an unrestored watch is in as beautiful condition as you will ever see.

What's my favorite? The Citizen Bullhead, lol! It fits perfectly on my smallish 6.5" wrist. It's so hard to find a smaller size chronograph and the Bullhead is absolutely fantastic in 38mm for us smaller wristed. So there you go, as they say, one man's trash is another man's treasure.

Now I'm an older fella and I bought one of those Pulsar red LED watches when I turned eighteen back in 1975. This was the first watch I ever purchased and it was tres chic and I wore it everywhere. Well, unfortunately I was hit by a car pretty hard while riding my motorbike and I had a number of broken bones and my watch had stopped on the exact time of the accident. But I felt as if I had bought an original Omega moon watch. I was so proud of my purchase.

Some vintage watches can be okay if they're cheap and simple! I got three for $100-300 each, and got them fully serviced from my local watchmaker for ~$100 each. They're not the most accurate, resilient watches you can buy, but they're charmingly small and unique to wear on special occasions. I love all the retro reissues as well

Easy: Longines Heritage Conquest 35mm. Admittedly a sight dearer that the ones featured in this video, but a gorgeous watch, pretty much a 1 to 1 to the original, only better. Love the high quality hexalite crystal and the dainty size and thickness, excellent movement and awesome strap. A gem!

LOL: I’m wearing the PSR right now as I watch this video. As a child of the early ‘70’s and a watch fanatic from the age of 10. THIS WATCH RULES! That is until Seiko introduced the LCD watch. At least the Seiko LCD was the first LCD watch I ever saw. At the age of 15 I detasseled corn for a whole summer to be able to buy one.

Owning several vintage watches (1930s -- 1970s), I can confirm that even *if* you avoid all of the land mines, there's still the acrylic crystals and the PITA servicing to contend with ... Has to be something that you *really* love to make sense, but if you do, they're quite charming, indeed.

Love retro look. Hamilton Pan Europ is one of my watches. Few months ago I got Zodiac Super Sea Wolf. Both have that specific retro feel and I love wearing them. Maybe that's my age and possibly I consider them as something a little bit more interesting than any modern watches...?

I had a black metal Casio WR and it looked great. The backlight looked good, too. Not just 1 dim bulb on the side. However, after a couple of months of wearing it, the paint started to chip off and corrode on the sides. If I had to do it all over again, I'd get a silver one.
@johninNJАй бұрын
I'm 100% with you. I love the vintage re-issues but would never want an actual vintage watch with all their problems. I picked up the lagoon Arnie after you profiled it a few weeks ago. It's one of my favorite daily wear watches and I have it on right now!

13:36 Got the Lorus RAF 80s Chronograph (Originally by Pulsar) at Argos for £59.99. Looks like a 1:1 but has Lorus instead of Pulsar at the 3. The big seconds hand is a real seconds hand and the small dials are for the chronograph.
@S-Ltd1000Ай бұрын
Took a few years for me to dip into these reissues but I recently got the 43mm Lunar Pilot in black and the Arnie in black to be as close to the originals as possible. Both excellent watches that won't be leaving my collection anytime soon. Was never keen on the PRX but even less so after learning that our glorious leader Kier Stalin wears one.

Hey Jody nice to catch up at the watch fair yesterday . I bought one of those Citizen Bullhead Chrono's & yes I was very disappointed with the size . If I was going to buy a Bulova reissue it would be the Accutron Spaceview 2020. All watches are basically the same mechanical or quartz (or combination thereof), the electrostatic tuning fork is a completely unique and amazing technology. 🙂
