Fun Fact: RM had said that when they were writing this Song the lyrics were supposed to be ( I need you friend ) or ( Chingu in Korean ) but since it didn’t make since to use that they went with ( Girl instead ) this video represents their hardships they go through individually and How Happy they are together!! With out giving to much away about the Story line pay attention to the pairing of the Members!! V and RM Jhope and Jimin Suga and JK Jin is on the outside looking in recording everything as His way of trying to keep track of events in order to go back in time to try and Help each Member make it through!! That’s about all you should find out now as the Next Song will start where this one left off and so on and so on!!

FYI, V co-wrote hold me tight. Love the song. The chorus is so V. I remember v saying that even though he wrote he didn’t get any lines of the versus and Suga saying, just think of the royalties v will make from co-writing the song. Lol

A little bit of an interesting theory about that lollipop is that when all goes bad (after the customer threw the money on the ground), NJ also died because into a white stick similar to a cigarette which will blow up the whole gas station. Also for me, 'girl' can be interpreted as the societal issues personified and used like a metaphor. I'm so happy that you're diving on their past albums.

Uh… welcome to the BU? That’s V’s dad and his sister in his scene where he ends up unaliving the man. From what I understand, because you can’t show smoking, RM’s sucker represents a cigarette. Once he drops it, they’re able to actually show the cigarette instead of the stand in.

Not you joking about the boy's trauma 😭😂Welcome to the BU (Bangtan Universe). Big Hit created an alternate universe storyline that ran through several music videos, short films, and even created a Webtoon and book series containing the Notes (diary entries) from each member that were released with each album during this particular era. It gets dark and, as you saw, fairly violent in some places. The story follows a group of seven boys as they share happy moments and support each other, all the while each is going through a serious struggle of their own (varying degrees of mental illness, abuse, poverty). The mv here has very little to with do the actual song, there is no girl lol The song was actually written as "I need you friend", as a way of talking about needing support but sometimes that person isnt the person you really need help from. The scenes shown were instances of them reaching their breaking point, unable to continue with their struggles, unable to really help each other. I think you missed seeing the lollipop turn into a cigarette when it hit the ground (there are rules against being seen smoking), and the money was payment for the gas that Namjoon pumped at his job, he's over being treated like crap. And Tae having issues at home? That IS his home, that was his dad hurting his sister again and he was finally done with it, and did the thing. As you make your way through this album and era you'll see more things tied together and referred to, and it will be very complicated lol The Notes I mentioned were little pieces of the puzzle that Army read along with each album so we had clues as to what the heck was going on, and without those reactors have a hard time making sense of it all. Take your time, be patient, be open minded, and understand that Army takes this very seriously 😅

I would say that the BU is what you take from it!! I have been Army since DNA Era and I still learn every time I watch someone react to the BU!! It’s as Serious as you Make it!! LOL - Welcome to the BU (Bangtan Universe)! BU is the stoy line that runs through their videos, mobile games, web toons and articles. I need U is part of that storyline, hence the crazy video. Lyrics originally was "I Need U Friend", but it didn't sound good phonetically, so they changed it to Girl. But as you see in the video, when they are apart, everyone is going to self destruction mode, but when they are together, everyone is happy! I have watched so many reactions to this and your comment about RM pumping gas and assuming he was driving has been repeated by so many other reactors from the western hemisphere, specifically the US. I am from Canada but I am old enough to remember when there were full service gas stations. Most younger people have not had their gas pumped for them by an attendant. RM is working at that gas station.

Ha ha…’find some hobby’…, you are so funny… fyi, just you know, Korean music has its history of making ‘love, heartbreak, ‘missing’ someone so badly,etc’ quite dramatic n romantic. It’s regarded as ‘hopelessly romantic, or undivided passion in that line, rather. Not some stalking or low self esteem or toxic. It’s expressed as ‘I love and loved u so much, and it’s breaking my heart,’-- not so logical ways of interpreting. It’s in its own romanticized world of love, breakups and beauty (?) of saying goodbye to once you loved so much. Maybe it may not be necessarily about the other person but submerged deeply in that moment’s of life /love experiences and sentiments…does all this make sense? So for that there are SO many love songs in Korea from old days that can rip your heart out, it’s devastatingly sad and hopelessly romantic… it’s kind of hard to explain, though.
