Awesome footage from inside one of the rarest airplane types to frequently visit Amsterdam. This specific A340 (-300, PZ-TCW) flew just shy of 1 year for Surinam Airways (stopped flying TCW in march 2024). Surinam Airways has since been wet-leasing Maleth Aero A330's, Privelege style 777's, Euro Atlantic 767's/777's, USC 340-300's and -600's. So it's safe to say, Surinam is surely providing the spotters some good variety of airframes to capture here at Amsterdam.

Its an airbus thing. The thrust levers don't move when the autothrust is on. Also its not on toga, but a lower detent

@@ZK-APA its a meme. The a340-300 is equipped with 4 cfm56 which is the same engine on the a320/737-NG. So we say its 4 apus or 4 hair dryers

Below minimums that’s ok AS LONG AS visually you are maintaining a correct profile (below minimums of a CAT 1 ILS, the glide is very sensitive, so if you chase the glide, the aircraft starts to snake up and down). In this case, yes the aircraft started getting slightly high, which was called by the PM and corrected by the PF.
