Was actually a good landing, put the aircraft down right at the markers. At busy airports as LHR there is no room for floating the aircraft resulting in a long landing roll and potentially causing go around behind.

Smoothness isn’t always the most important. Like the other reply to your comment says, busy airports, especially those with shorter runways require aircraft to touch down asap. Also, the 787 is known for being reluctant to touchdown do to the way the aircraft is designed.

No not really the 787 has pretty much no tilt and is low to the ground so it’s just gonna slam a bit, that was a normal 787 touchdown
